Let us exalt the LORD Jesus Christ. Why are we exalting men? Why is the focus more on so called "justice " than the Judge Himself? The only true justice flows from Christ who justifies.
Let JESUS be exalted, and His death, burial, and resurrection be the focus, for that is the ONLY way to salvation.
What America has done is forgotten God, and rejoiced in sin.
"The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. " - Psalm 9:17
"The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves." - Isaiah 3:9
Why do people insist on making issue about race, when the Bible teaches "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." - Galatians 3:28-29
Jesus did not call people to protest, and demonstrate, and overthrow the government. He called people to repent, receive HIM, and sent them out, equipping them to preach the gospel.
All this progressive woke nonsense is not preaching the gospel! MAGA is not preaching the gospel! Political agendas, whether liberal or conservative are not preaching the gospel.
Rather than being children of Issachar, who had understanding of the times, many in the modern day church are like Ichabod: the glory has departed. (See 1 Chronicles 12:32 & 1 Samuel 4:21)
You got these creeping things and abominable beasts in the Church, but like Ezekiel chapter 8, they weren't readily visible: so he had to dig, then go through a door.
Well, scripture tells us to dig deep and lay our foundation on the Rock, who is Jesus, and also Jesus is the door, and in Matthew 25 He talks about the door being shut, and the foolish virgins left outside, just like in Genesis, God Himself shut the door of the ark. Meditate on this!
If you ain't digging, you probably ain't discerning the wickedness in the house of God. And people are lost, dying without Christ, going to hell, while we play church, and get involved in everything but sharing the gospel that can save lost souls!
You wonder why the church has no power like the church in Acts? You wonder why professing Christians struggle so much with sin, rather than rejoicing and walking in the joy and power of the LORD? You wonder why so many hide their light under a bushel, put their candle under the bed, and don't publicly confess the LORD who bought them?
It's worldly carnality, and worthless wasteful vanity. Worldliness. "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. " John writes in his first epistle.
There are a lot of empty professing Christians who rather argue their excuses for sin, than be still, and know that God is God, and humble themselves, and ask the LORD to search and try them, to see if there be any wicked way in them, and lead them in the way everlasting.
Are we called to feed the hungry, visit the sick, those in prison, help the stranger, give clothes to those who lack! YES! The CHURCH is called to do this! It's not called to tell the government to do it, YOU do it. Read the first 4 chapters of Acts.
And the Bible never affirms people in their sins. God's Word calls us to TURN from our wicked ways.
And God's Word in Romans 13 tells us obey the authorities, so if someone can't obey a nations laws to go about the legal process to become a citizen, but would rather sneak, and lie, and steal, you reap what you sow.
Pray for the leaders, as scripture tells us to.
But let us get back to JESUS, and sharing the gospel of salvation, the message of the cross, and the blood, and redemption: that ye must be born again, or you will not see the kingdom of God.
Amen
"Our hearts are weak. Our sins are many. We need a Redeemer who is able to save to the uttermost and deliver from the wrath to come. We have such a Redeemer in Jesus Christ. He is the Mighty God (Isaiah 9:6).
Let it be a settled principle in our minds that the first and chief business of the Church of Christ is to preach the Gospel.
Preach Christ crucified, and dwell chiefly on the blessings resulting from his righteousness, atonement, and intercession" - J. C. Ryle
