  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Is America a police state (if you are not white)?

You are wrong it’s not equal rights under the fifth amendment. It’s scaled down rights for illegal aliens as the Supreme Court has upheld including speedy removal of them. They are only trying to get crime out of our United States.
The Supreme Court disagrees with you.

No, for example, the Supreme Court has ruled that when a non-citizen steps across the border they do NOT suddenly have the same due process as an American citizen.

Who said it was?

You asked about why due process for non-citizens and the answer remains that every person here is entitled to due process under the law.

Sure, with due process.
They are only trying to get crime out of our United States.
Committing crimes to get crime out is less than worthless - it becomes terroristic governmental overreach. I've often heard the term "goon squad" growing up, but now I understand what it means.

No one has said they have all the same rights but they do have due process rights - this has been upheld time and time again.

False. The Supreme Court has reaffirmed as recently as 2021 that any person who has come to the US, legally or illegally, visiting from another country or building a home, is entitled to basic due process rights. Department of Homeland Security v. Thuraissigiam. If they’ve been stopped at the border or immediately after entering, the have no due process, otherwise all persons regardless of citizenship is entitled due process.

If you are in law enforcement you can be guilty of violating the rights of any person in the country. They don't have to be citizens. It was one of the first things they taught us in the police academy

The case you provided proves you wrong. I said "No, for example, the Supreme Court has ruled that when a non-citizen steps across the border they do NOT suddenly have the same due process as an American citizen. " I was absolutely correct. Department of Homeland Security v. Thuraissigiam states:

Respondent argues that this rule does not apply to him because he succeeded in
making it 25 yards into U. S. territory. But the rule would be meaningless
if it became inoperative as soon as an arriving alien set foot on U. S.
soil. An alien who is detained shortly after unlawful entry cannot be
said to have “effected an entry.”
