Whether they are Antifa or not, the federal government needs to move against those who threaten or use violence against law enforcement.

This had absolutely NOTHING to do with "antifa" or "leftists" or any ICE operations happening in Portland. This was just a random guy who threatened some citizens and then allegedly shot at police when they arrived to investigate and fled. Even the photo released looks almost like it might be a homeless guy. Andy Ngo is a far-right propagandist and provocateur and is not a reliable source of information.

This incessant need by you and other posters on this forum to politicize and tie every event no matter how unrelated to anything discussed on this forum negatively to "leftists" or "antifa" and Democrats is exhausting and disgusting, IMO. It does nothing but stir up divisiveness which I believe is the true aim of these posts.

1. Shooting police, ICE, authority, representatives of government is not ok.

2. What this guy did is not ok. I hope he’s caught and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

3. This shooting is a random crazy person shooting random officers responding to a regular call. It has nothing to do with liberals, leftists, ANTIFA, BLM, Kamala, Biden, Obama, or transgender drag queens using Target bathrooms during soccer games. It’s a standard officer-involved shooting. Tragic, awful, and inexcusable, not political.

When the officers were dispatched to the scene, they had no indication that the man may have been armed with anything more dangerous than a knife, police said.

Police combed several blocks near the Lloyd Center [shopping mall on the opposite side of the river from both the ICE facility and the federal building in Portland] overnight and asked people who lived in the area to stay inside their homes with their doors locked.

It is time to stop this dangerous, false rhetoric that tries to smear protesters every time something goes wrong in this city. The shooting in Northeast Portland was a completely separate criminal incident involving a lone suspect, and it had absolutely nothing to do with the people at the ICE facility or any political movement. Dragging "Antifa" or "leftists" into this story is a blatant lie used to stir up division when, in reality, these were two totally different situations happening miles apart. This kind of dishonest reporting is exhausting and needs to end now. Another exercise in yellow journalism.

By the way, anyone who does not believe in or agree with facisim, is anti- fascist hence, " Antifa".
