  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Definitely. Half of Germany used to live in Russia so it should come as no surprise.

The only thing that ruined Russia’s equal and peaceful alliance with Germany was David Hasslehoff (the patron saint of West Germany) pulling down the wall with his two own hands.

People really should know more about history.

I think the EU has burnt the goodwill a while ago. Political Ideology has ruined our relationship with other countries just like it ruins relations at the kitchen table at Thanksgiving.
Have you ever wondered how many names someone has to be called before they become your enemy?
It is America who has been burning the bridges. If you can’t see how America changed it’s relationship with the rest of the world since Trump 2.0 you are part of the problem.

I can say the same for you all. What I don't understand is that liberals all over the world and leaders were Russia, Russia, Russia, and yet the actions don't back their loud mouths. Uk used to have an impressive navy. What about now, if Russia were a threat, the actions of yalls countries show me it's all liberal fear talk.

Are you arguing for the greater good now?
Does this "greater good" only apply to Greenlanders or to other topics too? Is it acceptable to tax billionaires for the greater goods like education, health care, scientific research or does the "greater good" stops at the American shores?

Nope. I'm exploring avenues, in search of insight, and giving every possibility the benefit of the doubt - Not arguing "for" anything.

...I do have a blockade on the road called Everything Trump Does is Bad, though, which everyone else seems to hang out on.

Greenland is not about defence. The US essentially has unlimited access to the country for defence purposes so long as it doesn't impact the locals, and military presence has fallen by 90% or more since the end of the Cold War to a single base.

This is nothing more than a land grab for minerals and potentially more accessible oil as ice melting has made resources more accessible.

Absolute madness.
The US has free reign already in Greenland with very few restrictions.

This has nothing to do with defence. This is about land and resources.

I agree that a stronger presence there is good, but that can be achieved easily through existing agreements without impinging on sovereignty or needing access to local natural resources.
These are good arguments. You may actually be 100% correct.

...Some of the best points I've heard (much better than the lazy sarcasm and worthless tit-for-tats), yet, I feel the need to dig deeper. I feel the need to know more.

...and when is the USSC going to end these illegal tariffs?

Yeah... that's what I'm waiting for. And I hope it comes sooner rather than later. It's pretty much the only avenue I see toward pumping the brakes at this point, and trying to establish some sense of stability in the economy and international relations.

Of course, he'll try to get tariffs through other avenues. But it should at least slow him down.

It's just such a shame it's going this way.

I am glad Trump was elected and I think he has done some good, but I think it's appropriate to be critical of missteps as well as praising the good.

Greenland is a NATO member and associated with Denmark, a country which rallied behind the US when it activated NATO following 9/11. This is not how allies should be treated, especially when it appears overwhelmingly to be less about defence and more about natural resources, especially now Trump has posted that because he didn't get given the Nobel Peace Prize he no longer 'feels obligated to think purely of peace', which is just childish and feels punitive because his ego wasn't satiated.

I hope he goes back to focusing on the threat of Islam, gender ideology and helping embolden foreign leaders in addressing the same by his example.

You've confused it with "Everything Stupid or Illegal that Trump Does is Bad". It's not our fault that he keeps doing stupid and illegal things.

hmmmm I don't know, lets count up the 12 years of trumps insulting everyone. Oh wait I forgot, trump doesn't count, it's only the vile violent left that can't insult and attack people.

And yet so many, even on here, defend Trump
And it need not be an all in or nothing stance we make. We can vote and support a candidate because of certain issues while disagreeing and criticizing on others.

This js s good example. Voting and supporting to secure the border and undo woke is understandable. Threatening military action and economic punishment on allies is quite another.

When we vote for someone we do not owe them loyalty. Rather, they owe us accountability.

The President of the United States.

Dear Jonas,
Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America. Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a “right of ownership” anyway? There are no written documents, it’s only a boat that landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also. I have done more for NATO than any person since its founding, and now, NATO should do something for the United States. The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland. Thank you! President DJT
