This is abject nonsense. You already have bases there and a friendly chat with Denmark and Greenland about spending a chunk of money in the country and they'll give you as many more as you'd want.

You didn't even know that they are part of NATO. Now you do, surely you'd realise that there'd be zero problems in Greenland (and Denmark) welcoming Americans with open arms. As friends and allies with a fat cheque book.

But what does Trump do? He tells them he's going to take over the country. He threatens them. He ignores their right to self determination. He throws his weight around like a spoiled child. He treats his friends as enemies. He could get what he thinks he needs by some straightforward basic statesmanship, but that is completely beyond him. He's mentally and psychologically incapable of it. So now he's angered umpteen different countries, lost the support of the vast majority of Americans, painted himself into a corner and has encouraged other despots to take the same immoral and criminally insane route to take whatever they want.

And you are supporting him!

I'm debating the topic. I've said over and over that it may or may not be worth it, and I said that it is worth a discussion.

Maybe you have *your* mind made up already, Bradskii, but then, you're not the one who may or may not have a functioning missile defense dome on the line, while us 620 million do.

...You're not the one who is facing the dilemma of deciding on the protection of the self determination of 50,000 versus the protection of 620 million lives... That's *my* dilemma. But I'm willing to discuss it with an open mind. Are you..???

not to and actually you, I could see things escelate with how bad trump is where an invasion of greeneland ends up with world war 3, trumps just the kind of egotistical person to, "If I can't have greenland no one can."

nothing to do with themselves, an attack on nato is attack on Europe, especially denmark, but your right why should Anyone care if another country up and declares they now own another. Canada should declare we own the US!.

Forethought would have been working with Denmark to increase our military presence on Greenland to whatever level is supposedly needed and creating partnerships to extract minerals as they became viable to access. Im only representing myself with my statements, but it's sure funny how it's okay for Europeans to dictate American policy, both local and international, but I'm not allowed the same privilege when I have a comment about Europe.

I find this double standard to be completely unacceptable.

You brought up American deaths and our supposed lack of care, the next minute you're saying we shouldn't even talk about it? And a few pages before that, you were dunking on Australia for supposed lack of free speech. And let's not forget Greenland.

So maybe before you cry "hypocrisy" you might want to check your own post history. As for you commenting about the UK, I didn't at any point criticise you for it, and if you were to start another thread about the UK, or anywhere else, I don't have a problem with it.
