The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

You're correct that the medicine does stabilize the person who is schizophrenic. The problem with the medicine, however, is schizophrenic people report depression, over sleeping, and feeling like a zombie. They are always switching medications too. It works well, then it doesn't. The system for these medications is not well put together. There must be something else out there that is far better and more natural that can help people. Of course, Christ is the answer, but sin is still in the world and people will continue to be born with, or over time develop things such as anxiety, schizophrenia, and depression.I hope you are having a pure and innocent relationship. Obeying God takes a lot of the guilt off a person. Therefore you will have an easier go of it. This is a sort of a tragedy you mention. I am sorry for you and will pray for you. Take your medicine as I think it will stabilize you a little better.
i personally fight what I’m going through, resist and it starts to flee. In my own way taking captive my thoughts so they dont go overboard. As in 2Cor 10:3-5. You can also try to improve your thinking as in Phil 4:7-10. But I must persevere to to find any improvement. Your life is not over it is just beginning. With Jesus you (we) have a fighting chance. It can improve, probably will.
jesus loves you, He will not let you go. Be in Christ, brother. See Jesus, be like Jesus. But don’t overdo it.
Love in Christ and good fortune.

I see what you're saying, and I'll try to explain further and elaborate on what is natural. It cannot be natural causes because it would not happen if sin hadn't entered the world. The reason we have these things happen is because sin entered man a very long time ago. Now we see it as natural causes because sin tainted everything! The natural is tainted and will not be made fully whole until the new heaven and new earth are created. Until then what we know as natural is very un-natural.sin can cause that but sometimes it has natural causes too. Of course Jesus is the answer. But medication can have its place. patients can lower their dose after a time of stabilization to be more aware during the day and sleep well at night. Applying the word should be good maintenance for carrying through to a more balanced place. There will be ups and downs but God and the Bible are good comfort and perseverance. He is the way even in this.

well one thing for sure ... you are NOT in hell.I was diagnosed with schizophrenia and psychosis but I think I'm in hell.
Of course, I understand what you're saying. We are both right. I am just taking it back to the fall. If mankind never fell and allowed sin in to begin with, then such natural causes wouldn't exist. The human body and mind would not be the way it is if it were not for the fall of man to begin with, so everything is due to sin. This does not mean the person sinned and thus received such a burden to bear, only that because of the original sin that this stuff is allowed to happen in today's times.Because a child from a good home can develop early onset schizophrenia through no fault of his own. That seems like a natural cause to me. I know that sin is in the world and things are not perfect but I’m talking about the human body And mind. Im sorry we have differences of viewpoints. And I see your point. Sin did not cause this illness. Some it did though. Sin caused disease, but sin does not cause every occurrence. Do you see my meaning?

I don't know. I have friend who is schizophrenic with syphilis and does stuff where he will disappear for extended periods of time. Then he will answer his phone out of the blue or call or text to ask how I am doing. Then, he will break down in tears over the love of Jesus. It's very sporadic. Also, schizophrenic people tend to take substances, which cannot be good when trying to get their medication balanced. Fellowship really is one of the best therapeutic remedies for people with schizophrenia, so if Angeleyes7715 does come back, then they will have plenty to discuss, especially if they read our conversation. I would say the most important thing is for them to realize that there is nothing inherently wrong with them, but as we discussed, simply an aspect of the human life. It's like cancer. We're all bound to get it, and if not, anxiety or depression will come our way. Plus, an upside to all this is that God enjoys our uniqueness and understands our humanity and the struggle of living in this world, so He looks upon us with loving compassion and will use whatever we have for His Glory. This person should therefore look at schizophrenia in a wonderful light to be used for God, rather than focus on the darkness about it. Easy for me to say considering it's not me.Right. It’s a fallen world. Do you think @Angeleyes7715 will get back to read this thread? Im sure sorry for Him. Though it’s a fallen world Jesus is the answer. But…
I’m very sorry. My sister has it as well. Praying for you.I was diagnosed with schizophrenia and psychosis but I think I'm in hell.

I definitely don't enjoy it. My voices are demons mocking my speaking in tongues and praying. they tell me I'm going to the lake of fire. They also call me a demon.I don't know. It's not just thoughts it's audible voiceswell one thing for sure ... you are NOT in hell.
But are having unwanted ... possible harmful (instrusive) thoughts. When you have them try replacing the "bad thoughts" with "good thoughts" ... this requires repetition and may take a while. It's changing the focus on what your thoughts are. Also control what goes into your mine ie ... what you watch and/or listen to .... it is indeed garbage in garbage out.
We can rewire our brains
By consciously choosing your activities and thought patterns, you can actively shape your brain's architecture over time.
Praying the Lord will help you to accomplish this.
Go in-patient. My SIL is there now.My Dr wants me inpatient but I don't think there is anything they can do for me...
it is possible to experience audible voices that seem real but have no external source, a phenomenon known as auditory hallucinations or "hearing voices". These sensations can feel like they come from inside your mind, through your ears, or from the surrounding space, and may be caused by stress, sleep deprivation, trauma, or mental health conditionsIt's not just thoughts it's audible voices
