A grinning anti-ICE agitator was arrested after she allegedly punched a Florida state trooper during a confrontation with federal agents — drawing a blunt warning from Gov. Ron DeSantis that the Sunshine State “is not Minneapolis.”

Jennifer Cruz was arrested outside Mi Pueblo, a Mexican grocery store and meat market in Jacksonville, Tuesday morning after she allegedly jumped out of her car and punched a state trooper in the face while officers were working with Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier said in a post on X.

“Jennifer disagrees with immigration enforcement and decided to commit a few felonies by getting out of her car and punching a trooper in the face,” Uthmeier wrote.

“But unlike Minnesota, we don’t put up with this nonsense. Not today, Jennifer.”

Another shocking video appeared to show Cruz kicking and screaming as officers struggled to get her into a squad car, laughing and taunting police before she was tased.

This, of course, assumes that ICE is telling the truth about her punching someone. Given their track record, that's not something I'm willing to take their word for at this time.

What I saw was struggling woman dragged not a car under restraint.

Why is the 2A not coming into play? This seems like the Tyranny I’ve heard so much about.

I thought rugged individualism and guns stopped this kind of thing?

Why have them at all? I’m perplexed and not calling for gun violence but thought an armed populace was to stop this kind of thing.

Instead of "Don't Tread on Me!" it seems to be "Tread on Me, Daddy!"

For the record, I do agree that this was a dumb thing to do if it happened the way it's presented.

What "this sort of thing" are you referring to? Federal agents arresting the worst of the illegals so they won't be here to commit more of the crimes we keep having to hear about? If this woman is this adamant about protecting those types of people, we can only imagine what type of person she is herself. Punching a trooper in the face sheds some light on that subject.

I agree... what she did was really stupid.

I wish that Republicans could also admit that what that ICE agent did to the woman in Minneapolis was also really stupid, and he should be investigated for it.

We interrupt this programme to bring you breaking news from Florida. Apparently, and we're attempting to get confirmation of this, a woman might have done something stupid outside a grocery store. The governor has been appraised of the situation as it unfolds and he has urged all citizens to remain calm. We are expecting that the president will be making a public statement which will be carried by all major stations within the hour. And a warning, the following scenes showing the woman apparently smiling might be distressing for some viewers.
