Award-winning Christian hip hop artist Lecrae reflected on comedian Drew Desbordes viral sketch poking fun at megachurches, saying megachurches are “an easy target.”
Desbordes, who is better known by his stage name Druski, has received more than 36.3 million views and over 2.7 million likes on a two-and-a-half-minute Instagram sketch that mimics megachurch pastor antics.
In the video, Druski hangs from wires as he levitates above the pulpit while smoke machines bellow haze and Kirk Franklin’s “Revolution” plays. The sketch pokes fun at miraculous healings and pastors who wear expensive clothing and drive expensive cars. The sketch portrays a pastor telling congregation members they cannot leave until they raise $4 million—a comedic shot at gospel artist Bishop Marvin Sapp.
Druski also posted in the comment section of his sketch, “Mega Church Pastors LOVE Money.”
