Gracious Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus,
Please help Jacqueline with her pain and show her the best wisdom for her own particular body to manage this condition.
In Christ’s Name,
Amen
So, we do have a women’s health subforum
right here to discuss these kinds of issues in detail, and I recommend you use that in the future. If you can’t access it, go ahead and
file a support ticket with the admins, and they will give you access. Seems like you need it.
When I was a teen, we were advised to sweep floors. After decades, just asks Ai & the response was it works.
Good way for me to throw up and pass out on the floor. Got myself a lovely black eye that one time. Never again. The first step in managing this is to go to the doctor. If one has endometriosis or fibroids, that needs diagnosed. There are a multiplicity of causes for this pain.
I have the prostaglandin overdose version, and the active management policy for it is muscle training, namely calisthenics or weightlifting. This will reduce the pain intensity and duration in number of days. Temperature management is critical, getting my body temperature up when it’s coming. I’ve had cases where the pain only lasted 2-3 hours with enough rest and warmth. Finally, the third key is eating small meals, but making sure I’m eating. My body needs energy to run the uterine muscles and get the blood out. If you don’t eat enough: more pain. If I eat too much, beware though, because my body doesn’t have the energy to digest either because it’s sending energy to the uterus and I have prostaglandins everywhere. So I eat too much and my legs start spasming and then my stomach and throat muscles, which means I’ll be throwing up and passing out.
I also need to keep track of the calendar and my stress levels. Stress increases the level of prostaglandins in my system, and if I am overdoing my muscle training routine right before, nothing helps. (Cardio is horrible because strengthening the heart muscles gets prostaglandins in my blood everywhere.) The first small bit of calories with a bad start: straight to the bathroom. Nothing will stay down, and I’m in bed for basically a week sick and weak. Not being able to eat when my body needs calories to operate uterine muscles and rebuild my blood supply: bad.
But if one has a different version, they need a different treatment. So the first step to managing this is a trip to the doc.
