CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

as we are not the only country on Earth if Denmark ( or any country for that matter) is not causing us any problems then we should not worry about what is in our "best interest" and rock the boat we are not the only country on Earth it is not always about what is in our best interest. If they are not causing any issues leave them be.

America wanting to establish a strategic foothold in Greenland doesn't have anything to do with Denmark along those lines. It's all about geographic location. That's why we have a military base on Guam. Location.

Except that if Denmark does not want us to have a stronghold there then it is none of our business. Remember, Guam is actually a U.S. territory Denmark does not wish for the US to maintain Greenland in that way which is part of the reason they are not selling.

I was pointing out that the US has a military base on Guam because of it's location. The location factor is the issue, not the base. Perhaps Denmark is just putting up a fuss to broker a better deal.

I really doubt that Trump plans on taking Greenland by military force. Greenland isn't that important.
