The president, who ever they are, doesn't have the power to cancel elections... Even if they claim they will or can. We have checks and balances for a reason and theres no way people would just comply with that....

The fact he says things like that should alarm everyone, but it won't. They'll brush it off with talk about checks and balances. They'll say people wouldn't allow it. But somehow this unhinged, autocrat wannabe is still our president.

Our system of checks and balances is deteriorating.

We can do something about that next November. Put up the guardrails. Install Democratic majorities in both Houses. If yprou are Republican, hopefully your Republican incumbent (or candidate) will wait till after the primaries over for his or her own safety (or until primarie deadline is over) and then say, "Surprise! I'm cutting the strings! No more puppet votes for me."

We send our representatives to represent us--not be rubber stamps.

I think of it as a threat that he'll interfere by force. It's either that or "47" is a senile moron. I have a hard time telling which is which.

Ya know, we should be praying for him, not calling him names. Every government on the planet right now is corrupt and it won't change. You can vote in either democrat or republican, it doesn't matter. But throwing out hate is something you can at least control.
