Trump targets handful of blue states with $10 billion cut to child care funds

Federal officials will notify California, Illinois, New York, Minnesota and Colorado in letters Tuesday of plans to freeze $7 billion from Temporary Assistance to Needy Families program, as well as $2.4 billion from the Child Care and Development Fund and $870 million in social services grants for children, the Health and Human Services Department confirmed to Politico Tuesday. The cuts were first reported by the New York Post.

Elected officials in the targeted states were gearing up to challenge the cuts in court.

I was speaking of "Learing Centers' such as the now famous one in Minnesota. As opposed to Learning Centers. But yes, I suspect there is even fraud in Texas and Florida.

Influencers are not investigative journalists. When America ceases to distinguish the difference then they elect officials who can't tell the difference either. Or maybe they can but just find the fake news a means to an end.

Trump justified the action in comments posted on his social media platform Truth Social, where he accused Newsom of widespread fraud. The governor’s office dismissed the accusation as “deranged.”

Yes, are those who knowingly advance news they know false. They got sued by Smartmatic, Dominion, and several others.
Here's the thing. We as a nation can't set policy, defund orgs, or fire national security experts based on fake reporting by influencers.
