  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

No I dont when that sovereignty directly impacts our country in profound harmful ways. I'm America first and have total opposition to countries that are involved in or are allowing things to occur in their country that are harmful to this country and its citizens.
How is the most powerful and richest nation on earth the real victim?

Its time we put an end to this nonsense instead of allowing it to continue year after year.

We have far too many Americans who dont really care about America, but instead constantly denigrate America and uplift every other country. Who seem to really like it when other countries are doing stuff to harm America and its citizens.
Ah, the “enemy from within”? How should the leader deal with them?
Many of these ither countries really have no real sovereignty of its people. They are governed by communists and dictators and criminals. Communists, dictators and criminals that allow enterprises and alliances with people who are involved in harming Americans or being enemies of Americans.
Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!
Mexico, up until Trump did little to keep people from illegally crossing the border. Then have done little to nothing to stop drug cartels. Maybe, we can do something about it ourselves if they won't. All of this is directly harming Americans.

We don't have to do anything at all. We can just rell the countries to take care of it themselves or we will do it ourselves.
“Please leave us alone” seems like it’d be a two-way street, but what do I know?

America first baby. This is our hemisphere. We have a right to intervene in out hemisphere to act against countries rhat are governed by dictators who allow their countries to manufacture drugs and send them to the US, who allow their countries to be allied with our enemies instead of us.

If the country is causing problems for us then those in power there should be removed and someone put in place who will align with us. Having more control over oil supplies allows us to hinder our enemies and undermines Russias and Chinas ambitions and influence in our region.

We have a chance to undermine Comminists in our hemisphere and create more favorable circumstances for better governments who will align with us instead of undermine us. I have been in favor of such things for a long time.

I am totally against what we have done in the past to overturn the governments. Gun running etc. No, just go in and take out the leader ourselves. Then let them know if the next leader does the same crap under a different government we will take them out too.

I will say that we don't know what is going to happen next in Venezuela. We don't know how its going to work out. But like I said I've been in favor of removing governments that are hostile to us or allow people in their country to be hostile to us, particularly in this hemisphere.

Not with long term invasions and billions of dollars spent over decades trying to install some sort government. No, just hit the leaders, take them out and tell them to play ball or we'll do it again.
Wow! Look how fast "Trump will not start new wars" turned into "We are entitled to dominate other countries".

No you’re not. You’re worried about what the rest of the world is doing. Trying to control the governments of other countries is the opposite of being America first. We don’t have any right to tell people how to live in other countries, what kinds of governments to elect or who they can do business with when we don’t even have our own house in order.

Sigh. Examine the history of revolutions in Latin America and you might get it....

I know all about them. Latin America is about as corrupt as there is. But having a bunch of corrupt communist dictators who are hostile to us and are actively working to harm us, is a no go in our hemisphere.

It looks like conservatives have yet to learn the difference between hatred and contempt.
I’ve seen that from the libs also.

Sometimes they have come to power by overthrowing right wing dictators that the US has foisted on them, often by overthrowing moderate elected governments. Nicaragua, is a good example, Cuba another.

What gives us the right to do that? Do other Western Hemisphere countries have that right? Or only if they can amass enough military power?

America is far superior in every way. We are the best country and have the best systems (which doesn't mean they can't be better), economic, justice, military, values, governmental, freedom etc. If they are trying to or allowing their prople to undermine us, then yes we should intervene.

Yes but both ended up destroying their respective countries both socially and economically. The far left does not work.

They would have been better served by moderate elected governments than dictators of either extreme. But moderate democracies don't always act in ways that serve US business interests. They get in the way of our God-given right to their resources.
