  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

If we need to.

I'd go for Mexico next. Tell em if they don't get their cartels under control we will take them ourselves. And if they oppose us we will take them out and find someone who will either take care of it or be supportive of us doing it.
This is insanity man. You have no respect for other people’s countries or their sovereignty. What an ugly side of our society this move has revealed to the world.

If we helped create infrastructure and purchased land to get them then we are entitled to have them. Some Communist dictatorship can't just seize them.

What are you referring to specifically?

Where does the United States get the idea that we get to decide who does business with whom?

Do you prefer Chinese control of those resources? Many of the Venezuelan people are celebrating Trumps action while many democrats are filled with Trump hating rage. The people of Venezuela have been oppressed under this dictator and now have the chance to make Venezuela great again.
Nice dodge, so why is the United States entitled to another nation’s natural resources?

Many democrat politicians in the past called for Maduro’s removal, and now that Trump has accomplished just that, they are livid. I believe that is called hypocrisy.

Democrats have also called for Netanyahu and Putin to be removed. When is the world police going to pull that off, you know, since Trump does what Democrat politicians call for. Must remain consistent.

There are people who actually believe that the Civil War was fought against South America. Ergo, it is ours.

You realize your position (and Trump's) basically validates the argument the far Left has made in Latin America for years: America only cares about our natural resources.

It's naked Imperialism.

America first baby. This is our hemisphere. We have a right to intervene in out hemisphere to act against countries rhat are governed by dictators who allow their countries to manufacture drugs and send them to the US, who allow their countries to be allied with our enemies instead of us.

If the country is causing problems for us then those in power there should be removed and someone put in place who will align with us. Having more control over oil supplies allows us to hinder our enemies and undermines Russias and Chinas ambitions and influence in our region.

We have a chance to undermine Comminists in our hemisphere and create more favorable circumstances for better governments who will align with us instead of undermine us. I have been in favor of such things for a long time.

I am totally against what we have done in the past to overturn the governments. Gun running etc. No, just go in and take out the leader ourselves. Then let them know if the next leader does the same crap under a different government we will take them out too.

I will say that we don't know what is going to happen next in Venezuela. We don't know how its going to work out. But like I said I've been in favor of removing governments that are hostile to us or allow people in their country to be hostile to us, particularly in this hemisphere.

Not with long term invasions and billions of dollars spent over decades trying to install some sort government. No, just hit the leaders, take them out and tell them to play ball or we'll do it again.

They aren't in our hemisphere. We aren't the world's police, but we can deal with the Americas.

I can't think of a better motivator for armed Venezuelans to head to the mountains and resist the Yankee Imperialists. Trump is pratically writting their propganda brochures for the inevitable resistance to come....

Thankfully 99% of posters are not going to have to deal with it other then buying ribbons for their vehicles and trees.

No I dont when that sovereignty directly impacts our country in profound harmful ways. I'm America first and have total opposition to countries that are involved in or are allowing things to occur in their country that are harmful to this country and its citizens.

Its time we put an end to this nonsense instead of allowing it to continue year after year.

We have far too many Americans who dont really care about America, but instead constantly denigrate America and uplift every other country. Who seem to really like it when other countries are doing stuff to harm America and its citizens.

Many of these ither countries really have no real sovereignty of its people. They are governed by communists and dictators and criminals. Communists, dictators and criminals that allow enterprises and alliances with people who are involved in harming Americans or being enemies of Americans.

Mexico, up until Trump did little to keep people from illegally crossing the border. Then have done little to nothing to stop drug cartels. Maybe, we can do something about it ourselves if they won't. All of this is directly harming Americans.

We don't have to do anything at all. We can just rell the countries to take care of it themselves or we will do it ourselves.

What resistance? We aren't taking over their country like we did Iraq or Afghanistan. At least we shouldn't be.

What gives us the right to do that? Do other Western Hemisphere countries have that right? Or only if they can amass enough military power?
