  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Why are Democrats suddenly silent on the Epstine files?

Yes. Exactly how did most powerful man in the free world make an inter performance oral sex? That is quite the mystery.

Apparently #MeToo isn't a thing anymore.
Just what does Bill Clinton’s affair with Lewinsky from 30 years ago have to do with the Epstein files today? You two seem bent on trying to derail this thread and I can only imagine why.

It shows the moral compass, or lack thereof, from liberals. Therefore, with regard to the epstine files, they lack the moral standing to actually have an opinion on the subject. More simply, if you are defending Bill Clinton having a sexipade in the oval office, in my humble opinion, you do not deserve a seat at the table in this conversation.

No one has done that. The most anyone has said about that is that it isn't a crime.

Because it isn't.

That's it.

Legally, infidelity can be used as grounds for divorce, depending on the state, and sexual harassment is a tort which may result in a lawsuit, but neither are specified as criminal acts for which either party can be arrested or prosecuted.

Well this would seem to flip the OP on its head. First the liberals were silent on the Epstein files. Now you're saying they don't have any standing to comment on the topic you thought they weren't talking enough about?

I'd say everyone is talking about Epstein, except for one person.

People on this thread have done exactly that. Painting it off as just two adults having consensual sex. Positions of power being used to take advantage of a subordinate mean nothing now. Just innocent fun. If you disagree, ask Crazy Cat Woman.

You seem to answer the question. Liberals are suddenly silent because the suddenly lack the moral standing to have an opinion on the issue. At least those liberals who are defending Bill Clinton receiving oral sex in the oval office by a staffer.

What makes you assume it wasn't consensual? Were either of them charged for sexual assault?

Positions of power being used to take advantage of a subordinate mean nothing now.
Nope. If Lewinsky wants to claim sexual harassment, she can initiate a lawsuit against the former president, or could have at the time, but that would be a civil trial, not a criminal one. Same now as then.

Just innocent fun. If you disagree, ask Crazy Cat Woman.
She did not call it that, nor has anyone else. You're the only one using that characterization.

-- A2SG, which might explain why there was no quote of her saying it.....

Now all of a sudden, "believe all women" is dead. I wonder how long it will take for people to discredit and invalidate the victims of Jeffrey Epstein when powerful Democrats are implicated.

Of course. Everything is just a DISTRACTION from Jeffery Epstine. Even when the files point to democratic politicians, it is still just a Distraction! So basically, anything that does not directly involve Trump, it is just a.distraction. I mean, literally! She justified Bill Clinton making Monica Lewinsky give oral sex because she was a "consenting adult." So apparently bosses making women perform sexual favors is back on the menu according to Crazy cat woman.
The question was not whether what was done was moral,
Apparently #MeToo isn't a thing anymore.

I don’t recall Monica ever claiming it wasn’t consensual.

???? Conservatives voted for Trump who has far far more moral failings than Clinton ever had. There are two fathers here of daughters. One of them will look at a 10 yr old girl and what comes immediate to mind is dating her later in life. There are two fathers here. One of them bragged about walking in teen girls in dressing rooms unannounced to do "inspections". There are two fathers here. One of them after their daughter was born mused about how big her breasts may be. I could go on, but clearly you didn't think that through.

Your whole argument here is ridiculous and based on error.

First, it is Epstein not Epstine.

Second, the ones who carried on about in the campaign in 2024 were the Republicans. BUT since Bondi told Trump he was in the files and GOP Rep Mike Collins was caught on hot mic saying Trump was "all over the Epstein files," the Republicans spent a lot of time avoiding the release of the files.

https://www.nytimes.com/2025/11/13/us/politics/republicans-epstein-trump-house.html Finally the pressure is causing the release became too much.

However, the DOJ is using black markers to mark out a great deal. Most of the information coming out is from the Epstein family sending things to the Democratic leadership to release.

If Clinton is in the files, so what? Let it come out. Even Bill Clinton said "release the files". Why? He isn't worried about it. Lots of people with charity foundations wooed Epstein for money for their causes.

Trump is the one inhibiting the release of the records to protect himself and his rich buddies like Peter Theil. I have no doubt Trump did what he shouldn't do. After all, he bragged that he could grab women by the privates, and was found liable to for sexual assault (rape per the trial judge) and has a number of women who say they were assaulted by him.

Bill Clinton knew what he was doing, and he had a HUGE authority over her. Neither one were the victim.
Monica knew what she was doing, since she save her dress and was going to make money off of it. But it didn't happen, the way she wanted it to happen.

Great. Now show me where in the Epstine files where Trump actually commented a crime.
Trump has already been found guilty of 34 counts of fraud, plus sexual abuse.

Is there any reason to think that you'd be concerned with additional crimes?
Because apparently, oral sex in the oval office
Never happened.
and being half naked in a hot tub with minors is not a crime.
Did anyone say otherwise?

He didn't make her do anything. Even when he broke off the relationship, she continued to pursue him. Whose fault was that?
