  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Are people really using AI to post things on here?

Sorry if I sound shocked or even surprised, but I recently found out that some members on here are using AI to help them post stuff.

I have never used AI in my life and never will for that matter. Everything you see from me I type it all out by hand myself! I guess I am just old school that way.

I just have my personal PC here and my keyboard. That's all. No programs of any kind. No AI.

I guess I am a little bit surprised. I have never even used ChatGPT before. But I guess I shouldn't really be that amazed, because AI is everywhere these days...but it makes people lazy...

I use ai all the time to post. It is just a glorified google. If you know what you are looking for it can find things pretty fast. Today for instance, I had read years ago a book by the evangelist Maria Woodworth Etter. I wanted to review the specifics of one of her meetings. My first answer from ai was too general. I asked for ai to be more specific and it gave me the exact event I was looking for. AI is just a reader that has all the book learning at its fingertips. It is a handly reference, Often it makes a nice summary that I will copy and quote, using google ai as the source. Hope that seems reasonable to you. better to use ai, then try to remember or say something that is uncertain.

I use MS Copilot regularly. It's just a tool to help find things faster than surfing the internet. I use it when searches yield lots of info unrelated to what I'm looking for. I would rather get AI to hone in on my answer than to have to look for a needle in a haystack that I used to do. I also use my own knowledge to discern if AI is giving me an answer I can accept, especially when it's in regard to my health. Obviously I use the Bible for my theology and beliefs, not AI. But AI can be helpful in matters of historical and scientific information. I have yet to use it for political research. I regard it as a tool I can use wisely. As with anyone's opinion, I take everything from it with a "grain of salt."
