JFK's granddaughter Tatiana Schlossberg dies of cancer aged just 35

This brings back some memories for me as my sister died from Acute Myeloid Leukemia in 2005, which is the same disease that caused the death of Tatiana Schlossberg.

I had a bit of an "advantage" I suppose in that my Presbyterian pastor predicted well before he died himself in 1992 that "I don't think your sister will live very long. I think she'll get leukemia." When she died in 2005 she was 45, so she "didn't live long" as he predicted, and she died from leukemia as predicted.

When it happened I wasn't happy, but I also wasn't surprised when the diagnosis occurred as I found he was very accurate with his predictions.

Obviously I don't move in the same rarified circles as the Kennedy's being one of the also-rans in Australia, but Caroline Kennedy, Tatiana's mother, was the US Ambassador to Australia from 2022 to 2024 after being appointed by Biden.

There is another Australian connection between the Kennedys and Australia in that an Australian coastwatcher Lieutenant Arthur “Reg” Evans helped to save JFK's life and some of his crew members after his torpedo boat PT109 was sunk in WWII. According to Caroline Kennedy he never forgot it, and in 1961 invited Evans to the White House.
