  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Actor and comedian Rob Schneider sat down with Jan Jekielek, host of “American Thought Leaders,” to discuss politics in Hollywood and how being a Trumpsupporter has led to his being blackballed in the “self-imploding” film industry.

Schneider converted to Catholicism in 2023 and has continued to make life changes in his career.

Rob Schneider Strives To ‘Overpower Darkness’

In the full interview for “American Thought Leaders,” Schneider shared a quick story about an interaction he had with fellow actor Robert De Niro at the 50th anniversary celebration of “Saturday Night Live.” Schneider accidentally bumped into De Niro. As De Niro recognized Schneider, De Niro referenced Schneider’s support of Trump, saying, “How can you support that schmuck?”

The Democrats are inclusive. Just ask a Democrat. Except for all of the 'deplorables' they exclude.

Trump ousts top military leader in latest Pentagon upheaval

U.S. President Donald Trump fired Air Force Gen. CQ Brown Jr. as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on Friday, sidelining a history-mak fighter pilot and respected officer as the administration makes sweeping changes to the top military ranks.

..... Brown's public support of Black Lives Matter after the police killing of George Floyd had made him fodder for the administration's wars against "wokeism" in the military, and Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth has previously speculated that Brown may have got the job because of his race

Trump said he's nominating retired Air Force Lt.-Gen. Dan "Razin" Caine to be the next chairman .....

However, he (Caine) has not had key assignments identified in law as prerequisites for the job, including serving as either the vice-chairman, a combatant commander or a service chief. That requirement could be waived if the "president determines such action is necessary in the national interest."

More Pentagon firings

Hegseth, in a statement praising both Caine and Brown, announced the firings of two additional senior officers: Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Lisa Franchetti and Vice-Chief of Staff of the Air Force Gen. Jim Slife.

Franchetti becomes the second top female military officer to be fired by the Trump administration. Trump fired Coast Guard Commandant Admiral Linda Fagan just a day after the president was sworn in.

Trump has asserted his executive authority in a much stronger way in his second term, removing most officials from the Biden administration even though many of those positions are meant to carry over from one administration to the next.

Congressional Democratic leaders called out the firings as a direct attempt to politicize the military.

**********************************************************************
"Michie" is intent on criticizing the supposed "Tribe of Democrats" engaged in "blackballing" of an entertainer for his pro Trump sympathies,

The "silence is deafening," however, for a President intent on eliminating all those in the federal government, including the military, where personal loyalty, not ability, is recognized as the determining factor!

While "Michie" is focusing on the "private sector," President Trump is conducting his purges in the "public sector," politicizing government departments and agencies such as the Department of Justice, Homeland Security and the FBI!

With a Secretary of Defense (War) plucked from FOXNEWS and a newly appointed Chairman of the Joint Chiefs who lacks the necessary prerequisites as identified by law - what could possibly go wrong as President Trump continues to "politicize" the senior levels of the US military with his purges?

Well? As long as he is spiritually healthy that all that matters. Both sides are guilty of bickering and arguing, I won’t point fingers. I admire him for telling his truth.
