2025 looks like it will end with 7 left-wing attacks and plots, which will keep it on pace with what has been seen during the past decade. The average number of left-wing terrorist incidents went from an average of 2 per year from 2005 to 2015 to 4 per year from 2016 to 2025. While that is a bad thing, we are still not seeing a dramatic increase in left-wing terrorism, and the numbers we see today are nowhere close to what was seen in the 1960s and 70s. What's good is that the numbers from all forms of terrorism have decreased in recent years, despite the increase in left-wing terrorism that began in 2016. Hopefully this is a trend that will continue, but unfortunately it's unlikely, at least in the short term anyway.
