  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My job takes up too much of my time. It's different than what it was 5 years ago. I wish I could find something that I absolutely enjoyed with a reputable company. I don't know what I'm going to do.

This might sound crazy or stupid, but I actually used to have time to do my job accurately and without the anxiety I experience now. Now, it's all about "rush, rush, rush", "meet your goal", "money, money, money". Our work is closely monitored now. I (and others) actually have to calculate when to go to the bathroom so we're not accused of taking too long on a task. Have you ever heard of such a thing happening in the workplace? This is something you would expect in a Communist country.

What is your ideal job?

I've desired to do something with Linux for some time. I don't know how I would go about that. When I look for Linux jobs, they want knowledgeable people with schooling. I do not ever want to go back to college again. American colleges are scams and you can't do anything with your degree. I've tried twice to get a good job with college, it doesn't work.

If I could make money off of my writing, I would do it.

Don't resign yet, think twice before you do so, considering that the economy is not in good shape.

Did you mean you are so tightly monitored that even your bathroom times are recorded?

Writing? That might be a good idea, I wish I could write well (but I don't).

They monitor our work through the computer. When we complete certain actions on the computer, that's how they measure what we get done in a certain amount of time. So when we walk away from our desks to go to the bathroom, the timer is still on and there's no way to shut it off. It doesn't shut off at lunch time either, and several of us have been falsely accused of spending too much time doing something.

Writing? That might be a good idea, I wish I could write well (but I don't).

I started writing this year about false Christianity on Gab. I used to have an account on there and have discovered over time that there are things on there passed off as "Christian" but it's not. I ended up not being happy with my experience of the social media website and deleted my account.

I learned to write from doing all those papers in college! And God has also helped me! I'm a perfectionist and sometimes I experience a fear of coming up with something better later after I've posted.

My life's dilemma.. or worse, I read it later just to find out is doesn't read nearly as well as I would like and I want to take everything down. lol

I envy those people that just churn out material like a printing press running on diesel and never have a second thought. Lately have not had time to deal with the indecision and "pushing through" the contemplations.

I know I should write, but I just don't feel like it right now.

For my next article, I'm currently writing about a particular person that should be considered a false teacher. I got stuck on one of my points.

So I started writing about another topic. I think this one might be uploaded next.

There's an account on Gab that I like to view. I wonder if he has other social media accounts? Because I'd like to ditch Gab all together. Since the owner stopped allowing people to use VPNs on his site back in April (but Pro Membership people can use VPNs), the place has taken a major nose dive. I don't even enjoy looking at groups and accounts that I did enjoy at one point!

“The universe is a dark forest. Every civilization is an armed hunter stalking through the trees like a ghost, gently pushing aside branches that block the path and trying to tread without sound. Even breathing is done with care. The hunter has to be careful, because everywhere in the forest are stealthy hunters like him. If he finds other life—another hunter, an angel or a demon, a delicate infant or a tottering old man, a fairy or a demigod—there’s only one thing he can do: open fire and eliminate them. In this forest, hell is other people. An eternal threat that any life that exposes its own existence will be swiftly wiped out. This is the picture of cosmic civilization. It’s the explanation for the Fermi Paradox.”

Over in another part of the forum, I asked if other Christians had trouble making friends. I didn't like certain responses I got. I started evaluating myself.

I think I have good reasons to not go to church. This year alone, I have dramatically grown in the knowledge of God and the Bible by reading books written by Christians and listening to podcasts made by Christians, not by going to church. I can't say how many churches in America are compromised and aren't doing what they're supposed to be doing. Sound doctrine is important, and is especially important to me. You don't want to go to a church that's been hijacked by Satan. That's bad for you.

And I don't understand why I need to attend church to meet other Christians. Christians clearly exist outside of a church building. Do they disappear once they step outside church?

Earlier this week, I was thinking about how perhaps I'm not meant to have many Christian friends. Where are the people that have the same values and beliefs as me? I can't be the only one that realizes parts of the Bible have been altered, mistranslated, and misinterpreted. Maybe I'm supposed to be friends with non-Christians or something.

I hope my future husband is at least equal to me concerning these matters.

I was thinking earlier how my employer keeps doing things to "save money" or "make money", but it doesn't seem to be helping the company, and it's certainly not helping us workers.

This is what it reminds me of:

I've been contemplating a sabbatical from the internet which is a little ironic since I'm launching a new venture next year. It doesn't feel healthy online and the comments are worsening. Between the dumbing down and immaturity I find myself spending less time engaging beyond what's necessary. Many are unplugging for various reasons and I've been moving in this direction for a while. A lot of things feel one dimensional and conversations are lacking.

There was a time when discussions were rich and people could expound on numerous subjects at length. But discourse has changed and revolves around making a point or arguing a position or throwing someome under a bus or complaints. I'm ready to turn a page and have more time for just because and the things I enjoy.

I'll always have a connection with the internet professionally but I don't want it to be part of my life anymore. It's an unexpected admission but fitting nonetheless.
