This is probably part of the Administration's plan to ignore people making asylum claims. They don't have to determine whether the claim is valid or not. Just make it someone else's problem.

Not ignore. The Biden people brought in at least 18,000 terrorists, or people on the potential terrorist list, and many of them claimed asylum. About two thousand were from Afghanistan while the others were members of or linked with jihadist groups. This is what conservatives complained was happening during the Biden administration while publicly the Democrat leaders assured the public the border was safe, secure, and closed. A lot from Afghanistan were quietly settled in my area.
