  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Realize that this is typical reporting from a news organization that certainly leans to the left. I am a conservative, and conservatives believe their is nothing wrong with owning a private business rather than being a life-long government employee. If I were writing the article rather than focus on hair extensions I would have added that she both worked for a Fortune 500 company and ran a successful law practice. And I would have expanded on any other background that prepared her for her new position. For example, besides her JD from American University Washington College of Law and her Masters from the International Affairs from American University’s School of International Service she studied at Oxford. In addition to her 2025 experience as as the Senior Bureau Official for the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs she was previously the acting Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs, the Vice President of Legal, Compliance and Risk at the United States Agency for Global Media, and a Senior Advisor for the U.S. Department of State.

All I'll allow myself to see is 'Trump hires hair dresser for very a important government job'.

Well at least she can insure all immigrants have great hair before they are admitted. (Just kidding) I am with you on this. Her beauty business is a plus, yet some make it a distraction.

Being good at what you do for a living doesn’t necessarily translate that the same person would be a good decider in a field that one has no knowledge of, nor expertise in.
But Trump values talent over experience, so there’s that.
She’s a qualified diplomat, but I didn’t see much immigration in her CV
