Again, the glory of God has departed from the man-based churches where they are exchanging His glory for an image made like corruptible man’s. Their church "images" are patterned in the likeness of the outside nations… which is “corruptible man”… that surround us. They are "images"...patterned like the nations that surround us.
Rom 1:22-24 KJV
(22) Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
(23) And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
(24) Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
This “image” is the handwriting of ordinances/dogmas that the founding church fathers and their church scribes have established in every man-based church gathering.
It is their church “constitutions, by-laws, statutes, statements of faith, etc, etc, etc" by which they are “structured” upon. It is a “graven”-by-the-pen-of-the-church scribes “image”….a “graven image” …that we are not to have in our gatherings where we come together to worship God (the holy place).
The church governing documents are patterned like the surrounding nations’ governing documents. The nations that surround us do not know God nor do His commandments and have their own self-governing and self-judging documents. They are the “ birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things” that we are not to copy in these matters.
This abomination ....man's handwriting....is found in the holy place (where we worship God) where it should not be and has caused the glory of God to depart from the man-based churches.
These things have put His glory “far off” from His sanctuary. They are the “abomination” that caused desolation as the glory of God has departed leaving that gathering supposedly in His name a desolate place.
Eze 8:6 KJV
(6) He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations.
Ezekiel saw the abominations that causes the glory of God to depart as he did behold “every form of creeping thing, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed upon the wall round about.”
“Portrayed” = Hebrew - châqâh- To carve, to inscribe, to delineate, to entrench, to set a print or limit.
The “idols of Israel” are patterned after the nations that surround them which are comparable to “of creeping things, and abominable beasts.” They are patterned… “portrayed”…like the nations that surround them…. “upon the wall round about.” They are "images" of what they see the nations do.

(8) Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door.
(9) And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here.
Every “form”…that is, structure… of creeping things and abominable beasts. The man-based churches are structured according to the pattern of the nations around them which are “structured” by their governing documents.
(10) So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about.
Ezekiel 8:10 is later explained in Ezekiel 11:12. His people do not walk In His statutes nor do they execute His judgments but have done after the “manners of the nations” that are ROUND ABOUT them. "behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about."
They copy the nations around them (upon the wall round about) and have placed their own governing church handwritings of the commandments of men in their gatherings to keep and serve rather than keep and serve His commandments which are written upon our hearts and minds. They use their own handwritings to judge others with by their own standards rather than execute His judgments.

(12) And ye shall know that I am the LORD: for ye have not walked in my statutes, neither executed my judgments, but have done after the manners of the heathen that are round about you.
When we knew not God (as the outside nations do not), we did service unto them which by nature are no “gods”. These “other gods” are the “weak and beggarly elements” which are the weak and beggarly fundamental principles (contained in governing documents of the nations).
“Elements” =Stoicheion (στοιχείον) is a Greek word meaning "element," "principle," or "rudiment," referring to the basic building blocks or foundational parts of something, whether physical (like the elements of the cosmos: earth, air, fire, water) or conceptual (like the alphabet's letters or basic rules of a subject).
Nations have their governing documents such as a “constitution” which is a body of fundamental. foundational principles or established precedents according to which a state or other organization is acknowledged to be governed. They are "structured" upon their foundational documents.

(8) Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
(9) But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
Why return to a man’s structure ...his governing documents that he made for himself to keep and serve... which every man-based church is structured upon? Why desire to return again to bondage to a governing document?
We are not to have these “other gods” before Him. We are not to have any “graven image”…a handwriting of ordinances….like the nations around us.

(4) Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
They are highly exalted in the man-based churches. They do bow themselves down to them and serve them rather than keep His commandments.
(5) Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
(6) And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
The LORD our God (our Judge) is a jealous God. The "image of jealousy" should not be found in the holy place...in His sanctuary.

(5) Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.
(6) He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations.
We are to "turn yet again" from the "image" to serve the living and true God... the living and true Judge. When you do, you shall see "greater abominations" as the man-based churches shall behave badly when you do.

(9) For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols (IMAGES) to serve the living and true God;
If we are dead with Christ from the “rudiments”…the “elements”…the fundamental principles…of the world, why are we subjecting ourselves to man-based church ordinances who have put their own fundamental principles down on paper and are subjecting themselves to is. They are bowing down to it.

(20) Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
(21) (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
(22) Which all are to perish with the using) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
Jesus showed us that the glory of God has departed from the “buildings”…that is, the structures…of the holy place. The man-based churches are all “structured” upon their handwritings which are patterned after the outside nations around us and are the “abomination” that causes the glory of God to depart leaving them in “desolation.” Jesus “went out and departed from the temple.”
