Pilot narrowly avoids ‘midair collision’ with US air force plane near Venezuela

JetBlue pilot calls incident ‘outrageous’ and says US military refueling tanker didn’t have transponder turned on

A JetBlue flight from the small Caribbean nation of Curaçao halted its ascent to avoid colliding with a US air force refueling tanker on Friday, and the pilot blamed the military plane for crossing his path.

“We almost had a midair collision up here,” the JetBlue pilot said, according to a recording of his conversation with air traffic control. “They passed directly in our flight path ... They don’t have their transponder turned on, it’s outrageous.”

....while reportedly, other U.S. military aircraft in the area of operations did have their transponders turned on.

4) Given that literally 10,000's deaths attributed to infighting among Mexico's drug cartels, they are not about to allow illegal drugs from Venezuela access to their American markets that they've acquired with the deaths of so many of their members!

5) "Tren de Arasua" is a Venezuela;n cartel founded by prison gang members in 2012/2013, and tolerated by its larger Mexican counterparts because its positioned itself so as not to be in direct competition - focusing on human trafficking, smuggling illegals, robberies, assaults, contract killings, drug couriers and sellers at the street level!

7) Its widely accepted that Venezuela serves as the exporter of cocaine in the supply chain from Columbia and Ecuador - the major source of that illegal drug for the European market!

8) Most of the boats recently targeted by the US military may have been carrying illegal drugs, but it would be cocaine to be transported to European markets - despite the claims from the Trump Administration, its the Mexican cartels that should be the focus of their attention, given that they have effectively excluded the Venezuelan cartel from American markets!
