  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thanks, for posting the 2nd Home Rider. It allows you to easily see where she broke the law, within her niece's timeframe of living there.

Do you have some paperwork verifying she didn't commit crime with the Brooklyn home she misrepresented?

Expert Who Uncovered Letitia James Fraud Allegations Releases New Documents

Sam Antar, the financial expert who accused New York Attorney General Letitia James of mortgage fraud, released new documents this week as part of his investigation....
...Antar this week posted new documents to the White Collar Fraud blog that he says support the allegations that James incorrectly stated the number of units in the Brooklyn building.
The allegations stem from a certificate of occupancy from the New York City Department of Buildings, dated January 26, 2001, which states that the building has dwellings for five families—one in the basement, one on the first floor, one on the second floor, and two on the third floor.
The New York Daily News' editorial board noted this certificate, filed by previous owners of the building, was not accurate at the time.
Antar reported a flurry of new documents that showed James did not classify it as a five-family dwelling. For instance, a document from Citibank in August 2019 described the building as a "4 family" dwelling. A June 2021 document described it as a "1 or 2 family residence of dwelling."
In total, he posted 10 mortgage documents, none of which list the building as having five units.

I mean if this is what is being presenting to Grand Juries, it's patently obvious why they are getting stiff armed.
And btw, I am sure the grand juries are NOT being told about this or the rider.

Funny. Getting the case slapped out of court as well as rejected by grand juries not once, but twice, says otherwise.

It was actually rejected 3 times. The first time was in June when her niece testified. Then they took it to another jury, omitted some info and got an indictment. That got thrown out because the Trump administration is so eager for retribution they were sloppy. Then the last two here recently were rejected.

We will see if the third time is the charm.

Yes, I do.
She is doing of the same concept of "banks and real estate" fraud that she charged Trump with.
Lols, not even close.

No, not in a putrid city which hates Trump and loves Big Tish for her prosecutorial misconduct that an unethical judge assisted her with.

Are you on the grand jury? Are you privy to the proceedings??

Where did you get credible info that made you say "i am sure" about this?

If it's clear, spell out what provisions you think she violated. Because I don't see anything.

The burden of proof is on the accuser there. Considering that the government hasn't even tried to indict her over this, I see no reason to believe that she's done anything wrong in that case.

Or maybe there's a reason why the initial AG quit after refusing to bring charges. So now, they had to send in the insurance lawyer who is making a utter fool of herself in court and apparently at grand jury indictments.

She already got busted false claims to the courts. I am quite sure. And I will make this claim. Along the lines of other Trump lawyers going down in court sanction and disbarment, she will be the next.

Tish sued Trump on the behalf of the state of NY and won a judgement against Trump. The court ruled Trump was indeed, and just like the Trump Org felony conviction, was fraudulently cooking the books. But what can we expect from someone who had their foundation and university shut down for again, fraud. The statements from his ex-lawyer at a congressional hearing that give birth to investigation: "It was my experience that Mr. Trump inflated his total assets when it served his purposes, such as trying to be listed amongst the wealthiest people in Forbes, and deflated his assets to reduce his real estate taxes,”

Come the Tish allegations, since that what they just are. The insurance lawyer who stepped in to replace the AG, who quit after refusing to bring charges seeing there were no charges to bring, is failing to make her case for the third time. I already showed you how both cases in Va and NY how those claims are bogus.

Those aren't even close to being the same.

Lindsay Halligan didn't replace an AG (attorney general), of which there's only one, which is currently Pam Bodi. Halligan was brought in to replace the Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, a lower position. Maybe this is pedantic, but I think it's worth noting.

However, I do not believe the second and third indictments were brought by Halligan. She brought the first, which got dismissed because (correctly, according to my understanding) a judge ruled she hadn't been properly appointed, and since she was the only one who signed onto the indictment, it couldn't fall to another prosecutor. So it wouldn't make any sense to have her go and do it a second time.

This article (by Andrew McCarthy, which argues that both James's case against Trump and Trump's case against James are absurd and partisan) says that the second was brought by a guy named Roger Keller, who unlike Halligan actually has prosecuted cases before. A bit odd that the newbie managed to get an indictment while the actual prosecutor failed, but Halligan might've just lucked out on the grand jury selection. I don't think we know who brought the third indictment--we don't actually have a formal record of any rejection, the information about it is just from "anonymous sources familiar with the proceedings". If it was rejected we'll find out soon enough, but for now we don't know who it was. But it probably wasn't Halligan given, again, that would most likely just get it dismissed again by a judge, so they need someone else to do it.

Possibly - or perhaps she did something like what she did in the Comey case and made misrepresentations of fact and/or law due to her inexperience.

You used fancy words to NOT explain why you feel the criminality concepts are different.
While the criminality concepts might be similar, the fact remains that Trump was convicted. James' indictment, on the other hand, was dismissed. And, to be clear, they're trying to charge James in Virginia, not New York.

Short hand for the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. Too long to write.

...the criminality concepts might be similar...
Yes, I agree with that. As it is the sole point I was trying to make... that Tish likely sat up, imagined that Trump might be committing the same bank criminality she's been committing for decades, created a campaign around the goal of prosecuting him, then... charged him, just like she promised to if she won.

Just a reprehensible and corrupt woman.
