Seeking advice for job search

Hello all! I am a new member in Christian Forums, and so pleased to be a part of this online forum. I look forward to interacting with you all.
I am seeking advice after a one-year job search that has come to a crossroads with immediacy for the end of 2025. Also, please let me know if posting this personal summary is permittable for this forum, or this site in general.
I am trusting in the Lord's provisions, and I hope this avenue will prove successful.

I bring remote administrative assistant experience, experience working under the Department Director at one of Cleveland’s leading primary care service centers as well as a background in customer service and a skillset sharpened by volunteer and community efforts. With a Bachelors degree expected in Fall 2026 for Christian Thought in Humanities, I am confident that my educational background will be a boon to the educational makeup of your workforce.

Thank you for the welcome, tturt. Yes, I am receiving similar in my Career Counseling to confidently present oneself as a candidate instead of a job applicant and to emphasize the assets I may offer to my prospective employer. In a job search, it is integral to understand how your unique God-given gifts are a boon to your employer. In past job interviews, I usually follow the lead of the interviewer providing ancedotes for conflict resolution, strengths and weaknesses as inquired in the interview and hiring process. Admittedly, I need to flesh out my answers for open-ended questions including "What can you bring to our company"?

If you are interested in working for a Christian organization, you may have a longer wait than you anticipate. Churches generally select a church secretary from amongst their own members.

If you consider secular employment, you might try working for a temp agency. Some companies use a temp agency to check out people before hiring them full time. The reverse can be true as well. You might be able to sheck out companies to see if you would want to work there full time.

Hello timf. Noted, and this is to be expected especially for Church bodies; however, I am casting my nets to Christian companies, and not necessarily ministerial positions although I know the same may apply in these circumstances as well!

Yes, while faith-based employment is a priority, I am also considering secular, mission-based organizations. The nature of the temp agency positions in my area are mostly warehouse or industrial, and proximity is an also influential factor in my job search. I am seeking remote positions, but have applied to in-person as well. If my search for temp agencies in my area with more variance of positions proves successful, I will seek this avenue more fervently.
My overrall job search is quite open, and it is not as exclusive as it may seem according to my preferences, but I do think it is important to outline for criteria to optimize job satisfaction, work-life balance and career longevity.
