• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Isaiah 40:1-11

"Like a shepherd he feeds his flock; in his arms he gathers the lambs, Carrying them in his bosom, leading the ewes with care."

God nourishes us with his Spirit, who is intelligence; he gathers us in joy and offers the Love of his Heart.

Matthew 18:12-14

Human beings rejoice when they place themselves in the Heart of God and receive his joy.

Isaiah 40:25-31

God said, “Lift up your eyes on high and see who created these?”

When we realize that we have created nothing, we more readily receive God’s love in the present moment.

Matthew 11:28-30

“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves.”

Let us read carefully: the yoke the Lord wants us to bear is peace, the rest of the soul.

Isaiah 41:13-20

“I will open up rivers on the bare heights, and fountains in the broad valleys; I will turn the wilderness into a marshland, and the dry ground into springs of water.”

Let us welcome God’s grace and watch our lives become an oasis within ourselves and for others.

Matthew 11:11-15

“Among those born of women there has been none greater than John the Baptist; yet the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.”

The balance between greatness and smallness is found in the person who lives freely and welcomes God’s presence into their life.

Isaiah 48:17-19

“Your peace would be like a river, your vindication like the waves of the sea.”

By allowing the Lord to live within us and receive his grace, we open a window of possibilities.

Matthew 11:16-19

“We played the flute for you, but you did not dance.”

Sometimes we are ingenious in seeking all sorts of ways to reach people, but in our experience, this doesn't work. The shortest path is to lead the person into God’s heart to notice and receive his grace.

Sirach 48:1-4, 9-11

“How awesome are you, Elijah! Whose glory is equal to yours?”

Elijah was a friend of God; he received Him from within.

Matthew 17:10-13

“Also will the Son of Man suffer at their hands.”

Let’s learn how to recognize the beauty of God in a person.
