Mikhaila Fuller, daughter of Dr. Jordan Peterson, provided an update this week about her father’s extended illness. “He’s still not doing well, but he’s not doing as badly as he was,” she said in a Dec. 9 social media post. In an accompanying video, Fuller noted that her dad is out of the hospital but “everything’s been slow.”
Despite the slow progress, “I’m hopeful he will recover with time,” Fuller said. “I wish things would just go back to normal, but they’re not there yet.”
Peterson, 63, is a Canadian psychologist, author, podcaster, and conservative media commentator. Although he doesn’t identify as a Christian, he has interviewed high-profile Christians such as Dallas Jenkins, Greg Laurie, and Tim Tebow. Peterson also has addressed issues such as gender identity and masculinity.
Peterson’s wife, Tammy, joined the Catholic Church in 2023. Two years before that, daughter Mikhaila Fuller said she had become a Christian. In 2024, Peterson and Fuller cofounded Peterson Academy, and Fuller serves as CEO.
