• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The music thread for Millennials. You can discuss anything about music - music you like, a music video you saw, a musician, etc. No time/era restrictions. For example, if you wanted to post about music from the 60s you can (even though you weren't alive then).

One of my favorite bands growing up was No Doubt. I had watched one of their music videos earlier this week - Simple Kind of Life.

I wasn't sure if I was able to post the video or not since there's a scene where Gwen Stefani is topless but has hair covering up her breasts. So I'll post the audio version of the song to be on the safe side.

I was a major Beatles fan in middle and high school.

I liked their version of "Twist & Shout":

I LOVED the Beatles in high school and college. Still do. At one point I had almost every single one of their songs. I really like some of their oldest songs the best. I also like some of Paul’s random songs, like Honey Pie. ^_^

I like I’m just a girl, even though I’m not a girl

One of the "oldies" stations in my area plays that song! It's crazy to think of them as "oldies".

I'm actually surprised at the amount of people in here that like No Doubt. They tend to be Gen X and Millennials, but just the fact that I know there are several people on here that like No Doubt and even Gwen Stefani's solo music.

I've thought about making a separate thread about No Doubt and Gwen Stefani.

I was born in December of 63 so technically I'm at the end of the Baby Boomers
