"Critical Race Theory" is an offshoot of the Marxist "Critical Theory." Derrick Bell is given credit for CRT, it replaced the class in CT with race and thus CRT. Instead of pitting one working class against another CRT pits one race against another (such as in "systemic racism," there is always to be an oppressed and oppressor to push the hatred.

I think it was sold to a lot of people like that, although I believe the two major factors were for future votes and to change our country, to destroy what has been successful. Unfortunately open borders has never worked and does not work. Bringing in those who love America and wish to be part of the melting pot, to eventually assimilate into our country while adding the best parts of their culture to ours, is ideal.

In fact there is literally a news report on the TV as I write this that says Trump is making it more difficult for UK residents to get just a visitor visa. CRT doesn't "do" anything. It's an analytical tool. It doesn't "pit" one race against another. If there was no existing racial conflict there would be nothing for it to anyalize.
That's just it, it was never taught in classrooms and never will be. What is objected to is the observation, which Desantis blames on CRT, that there is still racism going on and that is what he doesn't want taught in the schools.
