  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Sadly, the two National Guard members that were shot have died.

2 West Virginia National Guard members have died in the shooting near the White House, WV governor says

It is with great sorrow that we can confirm both members of the West Virginia National Guard who were shot earlier today in Washington, DC have passed away from their injuries. These brave West Virginians lost their lives in the service of their country. We are in ongoing contact with federal officials as the investigation continues.

Our entire state grieves with their families, their loved ones, and the Guard community. West Virginia will never forget their service or their sacrifice, and we will demand full accountability for this horrific act.

Looks like this administration finally got what they’ve been looking for. These two Virginia servicemen would still be alive were they not needlessly deployed for Trump’s DC crime fighting theatre.

The gunman is guilty for shooting them. No dispute there.

I’m talking about their pointless deployment that is clearly not going too well if guardsmen are dying now.

Who did you blame when the 13 soldiers died leaving Afghanistan in 2021?

DC had crime trending down well before any national guardsmen had ever been sent in. The president wanted theater and now two young soldiers are dead. This is squarely on his shoulders.
