  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

what did the Bible teach you about death?

It taught me not to fear death, that death is not the ending but will be a beginning of an eternity in paradise.

And that a gruesome end doesn't mean that God wasn't with us. God doesn't promise us a peaceful death in a hospital bed surrounded by loved ones, we could be eaten by a shark for all we know, or get into a bad car accident.

That it doesn't matter all the warnings and "alarms" about the end of the world.
You know people have experienced the end of the world since 2000 years ago.
If you die or Christ comes, the result is the same. So the end of the world for people alive today is 1 day or 100 years from now.

It taught me death is a dormant sleep and that there is no "eternal burning place" .... how much suffering we may or may not go through is unknown but Jesus will be with us through it all.

No reason to fear death.
