  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If there was something really bad about Trump in the files do you really think Maxwell's appeals would have stopped them from releasing them?
I'd like to think so.

For the record, I've never expected there to be much incriminating evidence against Trump in there. When Patel and Bongino said there was nothing to the files, my reaction was "welcome to reality, guys." The only thing that's made me think there might really be something there is the bizarre amount of resistance he and his administration have put up against releasing the files. It would hardly be the first time that I'd given him the benefit of the doubt only to realize that he really is that bad and the worry-warts were right all along.

Did you want him to release it?
I preferred Biden to be able release it. I'm tired of courts taking so long. I like to know that I'm not voting for a criminal.

‘She’s Trying to Take Down Trump’: Laura Loomer Slams ‘Despicable Traitor’ MTG for Joining Epstein Files Push

Far-right provocateur Laura Loomer is going scorched earth on Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), accusing the congresswoman of betraying Donald Trump by joining a bipartisan push to unseal the long-buried files of Jeffrey Epstein

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene says she will resign from Congress in January

"Standing up for American women who were raped at 14, trafficked and used by rich powerful men, should not result in me being called a traitor and threatened by the President of the United States, whom I fought for," she said.

Greene, who has served in the House since 2021, came under attack from Trump last week, when the president announced that he was removing his endorsement of Greene's reelection campaign after she broke party rank and signed onto a discharge petition forcing a vote to order the Department of Justice to release its full Epstein files -- another issue that Greene has come to champion from the campaign trail to Capitol Hill in recent years.

FOIA on files on the DOJ's handling of the files. (like sitting on Pam's desk, maybe) Judge moves to expedite the process for some of the request.

Because Democracy Forward has demonstrated that the Department’s handling of the Epstein files is a “matter of widespread and exceptional media interest in which there exist possible questions about the government’s integrity that affect public confidence,” 28 C.F.R. § 16.5(e)(1)(iv), its FOIA requests are largely entitled to expedited review.

Possible Questions About the Government’s Integrity
Democracy Forward has also established that this widespread media coverage raises
“possible questions about the government’s integrity that affect public confidence.” 28 C.F.R. § 16.5(e)(1)(iv). As the plain text of the regulation makes clear, a requestor need not point to actual evidence of government misconduct; they need only show possible questions regarding government integrity.

Democracy Forward has cleared this bar. As its submission to the Justice Department showed, prominent outlets have reported that the Department’s change in position has generated widespread controversy that has undermined public trust.

For the reasons explained above, the court will GRANT IN PART and DENY IN PART Democracy Forward’s Motion for Summary Judgment. The court will order Defendants to expedite processing of Democracy Forward’s July 25 and July 28 FOIA requests, except with respect to the overbroad search terms “whistleblower” and “flight logs.”

“There’s become two Americas,” Greene said during the press conference. “There’s the America for the rich and the powerful and the elite—where they never face any struggles or problems… And then there’s forgotten America that faces all the problems and deals with all the issues and never gets justice for being sexually assaulted and raped by a monster.”

“This isn’t one political party or the other,” she added. “It’s a culmination of everyone [who] worked together to silence these women and protect Jeffrey Epstein and his cabal.”

Greene later revealed on Real America’s Voice that she had received “a lot of pushback” from Trump’s orbit for supporting the petition—but stopped short of blaming Trump himself.

Will the true protectors of Donald Trump please stand up? Is it the group trying to hide the files or the group trying to expose the files?
Isn't this admitting that Trump will be damaged by the release of the files?
