  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Cursed is the heart of this people

KJ is from the Byzantine Text, inferior to the Alexandrian Text.

That’s rediculous. The family of Alexander founded both Alexandria and Constantinople. I’m not gonna teach you the rest of world history and how this relates to the Bible. Let’s just say the year 6660 Byzantine era is 33 years before the death of some famous historical figures.

As you like:
Neither the Alexandrian nor the Byzantine text-type is universally considered more reliable; their perceived reliability depends on the scholarly or theological perspective. Most modern textual critics view the Alexandrian text-type as more reliable because it is based on older manuscripts, while some conservative Christians view the Byzantine text-type as more reliable due to its broader historical distribution and a belief in providential preservation of the scripture

Ok, you didn’t bother to check who died 6660+33 Byzantine era. Guess that’s too much calculating for you.

Ok I’ll give you some clues. Byzantine Emperor. His name means man. As in, See the man. Or, See, the man. Also, by mere happenstance and completely unrelated, a king of Jerusalem died at the same time.

Congratulations, this is the most circuitous route to a point that I've ever seen.
It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

So lets all talk in riddles so people can try to search out what we might mean?

Do you mean God is deceptive?
Blasphemy when non Christians say it directly, holy wisdom when Christians say it with obfuscation.

Isaiah 8:14-15

Another reason why the bible is for the most part an ineffective conveyor of truth, because people simply see in it whatever they want to see in it. Combine that with just a small dose of vanity and everyone becomes a pillar of wisdom... or so they think.

For some reason they seem to overlook the humility parts. Without which you have nothing to temper the vanity parts.

Ah yes, wisdom. Revelation 13:18.
