  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

There's no articles about this as its breaking news, so I will post a video from an independent journalist. Here are the highlights of the video:

  • They have no choice but to relocate the capital of Tehran because of water, gas, and electric shortages.
  • IRGC officially ends nuclear cooperation framework with IAEA (No inspections, no monitoring + accelerating the program based off of the idea they need to defend themselves)
  • Regional forces including Saudi Arabia on standby
  • "In order to prevent war, we are going to prepare for war" - Iran
  • IAEA is preparing for diplomatic war against Iran because of their pull out and are saying they have to tell the UN what is happening with its enriched uranium stock, etc.

Not to mention, when people get desperate, they do drastic and dumb stuff. If their country is really in such a bad state that they're moving their capital, increasing the enriched uranium to make a bomb for "preservation" reasons, do they not think the world isn't going to stop them? Pulling out of the IAEA is the dumbest move possible! Israel stated many times they will do everything in their power to make sure Iran never gets a nuke. That's like, declaring war without specifically saying it.

No idea, I've never heard that. I know they've been in what looks like a civil war for a while as there is a massive uprising against the IRGC and the crown prince is wanting to take back over temporarily before going back to a democratic government. But I'm not sure as to what the state of that is right now.

Again, I believe they are wagging the dog to distract from their own failures. Instead, they should be seeking to improve the situation there without using war as their insurance policy to cover their failure to lead their own people. They have a scapegoat mentality instead of any real introspection on their leadership.

I looked it up:

Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei set the tone in mid-July, warning that Iran remained fully prepared for renewed confrontation and could hit Israel “even harder” than during the 12-Day War should hostilities resume.
