  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is President Trump Corrupt? Three Stories.

The Trump businesses have a long standing decades history of success waaaaay before he decided to run for president. On the other hand, Hunter Biden doesn't.

Do you have any idea how many times Donald Trump and used and abused the bankruptcy laws by using corporate bankruptcy to avoid paying contractors? And also stockholders? Abusing the bankruptcy laws is not business success.

I disagree 100%
Personal enrichment is already bad.
Attempting to influence foreign policy by accepting brides and enriching your family is more messed up and worse to me than someone profitting on a stock market..which I ALSO think should be prohibited.

I don't think they're as different as people would be led to believe.

For one thing, any corporation that is multi-national is already doing this in a round-about way.

Case in point: BP (British Petroleum)

Would that also count as foreign interests enriching people?

This idea that "becomes it comes from a foreign source, that makes it worse by default" than if an American corporation was doing it?

I'd go so far as to say that domestic defense and energy sector companies likely influence foreign policy more than any foreign entity does (barring perhaps Israel)

How many business do you own? He has definitely owned more than the majority of people in congress and most of the former presidents.

So what?
I bet I had more hotwheels than he did?

The only way he could keep his businesses afloat was through shady and underhanded business dealings.

It's not fair to try to have a discussion with other people if you refuse to abide by reality.

That foundation was disbanded. If Trump himself was guilty of wrong doings, then why wasn't he prosecuted for what that foundation did?
Oh brother.

On other topics you already claim he isn't guilty of what he's been proven guilty of in a court of law.

Why would anyone further this discussion here?

Since January 20....

By August, Trump estimated that he had collected at least $1.5 billion since the election, more than all the money raised to support his 2024 campaign over two years, including funds raised by supportive independent super PACs. The tally is now approaching $2 billion, two people familiar with the effort—who, like others, were not authorized to speak publicly—told us.

Trump has kept careful track of the money coming in, regularly calling O’Rourke late at night for updates. He monitors who is giving, who is not, and the role of lobbyists who bundle donations, those familiar with his efforts told us. At times, the actual donation amount is less important to the president than the percentage of the donor’s overall assets. He thanks the most generous benefactors at swanky events at the White House and his clubs.

....and tonight, the POTUS is throwing a Black Tie Dinner for a Saudi Prince...who earlier today pledged up to 1 Trillion dollars in US investments [nevermind the Trump family projects in Saudi Arabia].

Perhaps, one day, liberals will accept the reality of weaponized lawfare.

They have seen it. They have seen you defend it. The only reason you seem to care about it is whom is it against.

Real wealth is generated from within by hard work and innovation, not bestowed by rich Arabs.
