  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't believe for a second that you would be interested in increasing my wages. If I make between 280 and 300k per year, do you still want to increase my wages? or do you actually want to lower them?

I bet the latter. And that's why I cannot support socialism or democratic socialism, because more likely than not, you do not *actually* support the hard working middle class, but rather, the poor exclusively.
Ok, so you're just living in a fantasy land, then, fueled by butthurt and imaginary slights fed to you by what I assume are mainly right-wing ragemongers.

Is that about right?

No. I don't want to lower them.
Can you, like, comprehend how much more a billion is than 300k?

I'm curious about what kind of "tradework" you do making that kinda scratch but whatever. I'd assume you have to work some crazy hours to do that.

The REAL question is: Why don't you want wage increases for people making 55000.

I bet the latter. And that's why I cannot support socialism or democratic socialism, because more likely than not, you do not *actually* support the hard working middle class, but rather, the poor exclusively.
See my previous post: So long as the working class fights, we'll have no power.

Also, you can stop deluding yourself if you think 280-300 is "middle class.

I don't know who I can trust to be honest. The far-right wants to lower my wages, and the far left wants to raise the poor to my level, nullifying any monetary leverage I have...

There is no party for the middle-class... The largest class. That's probably because if there were, our numbers would keep us in power for a long time, and our current system doesn't like a monopoly on power.

In the meantime, let's keep illegal immigrants out of the trucking industry, and preserve the integrity of middle class jobs for American families.

What do you mean when you say "monetary leverage"?

Do you think it would be better if the Middle class were larger or do you ascribe to the idea that you MUST have people more economically disadvantaged than yourself?

What's your idea of "middle class" that Dem policies don't clearly help?
