At my longitude it is southeast for the Astra 28.2 satellite system. But yes, geostationary satellites are situated above the equator, which also means the further north the latitude, the nearer to the horizon the dish needs to be aligned towards.

I’m not going to bother to do it, but you could use this information to calculate the circumference of the earth.

Exactly. And one is easily tricked or deceived if one does not pay attention to actual evidence, just believing something without evidence.

Hence all the globe evidence posted on this thread and others. The globe is not accepted as truth in spite of the evidence. To do so would be gullible. It is accepted because of the evidence.

And you're the one who has extreme difficulty coming up with evidence for a flat earth, which means you are just choosing to believe it without evidence.

You should also be giving evidence.
As someone has said, evidence is not a YouTube video - anyone can put anything on YouTube.
Evidence is, for example, "water freezes at a certain temperature. To demonstrate this, get an ice cube tray, fill it with water and put it in the freezer. Observe a few hours later; is the water still liquid or has it frozen?"
There is no belief involved in the above scenario. The water either freezes, or it doesn't - you have either proved, or disproved, the statement that was made.

If Flat Earth is a fact, you ought to be able to give explanations and evidence. E.g. "The earth is flat. These are the observations, studies and tests that the scientists made, and did, which caused them to arrive at that conclusion."
You have never done that, and probably can't.
All you can do is to go onto YouTube or consult Messrs Odel, Dubay and Skiba who you hope will have arguments to back up your belief, or theory.

My mistake, I could only calculate the radius of the earth if I knew the angle of your dish to the horizon and your longitude. I still probably won’t do it, but I only realized the missing measurement after thinking about it for a few minutes.

The problem is that we have to assume that we don’t know the radius of the earth. So we don’t know the cord length from your location to the equator. That leaves us with one distance (35786km) and one angle –((180 –longitude)/2)+180, which is the angle from the vertical to the satellite to the cord from the point on the equator to you, and we need a second angle or distance. We would need both the angle of your dish above the horizon and to the meridian. Then we can calculate the cord length. The cord length would equal 2* (radius of the earth)(sin longitude/2). C = 2R(sin long/2). Then solve for R and you have the radius of the earth. The meridian angle is useful, but we would need the angle to the horizon. I might add that all of the measurements would have to be more accurate than we have without some good equipment. It was a nice thing to think about. I haven’t done much geometry like that for a few years.

You mean towards Antarctica where there are giant fixed relay sat dishes, or sat dishes in the south towards the Arctic.
