CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I wish you'd read my posts sometimes.
I said that the earth is in a fixed position in the universe - it will not and cannot move from that.
Well yours seems to.The mind boggles.
You just don't seem to understand that scientists - maybe on this forum - can explain things like that. Because you "can't get your head round it" you conclude that it can't, or doesn't, happen.
Either that or you are too afraid to try to understand in case it destroys your beliefs.

You can't have it both ways, either the earth is fixed & unmovable or it's not.

There is a context to earth not being moved in Scripture. The earth shakes during an earthquake, therefore it does move. The word “move” in Scripture is not so specific that it must mean physical movement or even a specific type of physical movement.
Again your lack of Bible study, as opposed to just reading a verse here and there out of context, is letting you down.

This is what they meant when they said that the earth is fixed - fixed in its position in the universe. This is so that it doesn't go wandering off, drift into a black hole, get so far away from/close to the sun that life becomes unsustainable.
God has placed this planet where he wants it to be, it cannot be moved from that place.
The Bible writers did not mean that the earth cannot move - elsewhere they write about the earth/mountains being shaken.

Like I promised.
Basically all's they've done is place antennas every where which work off the Ionosphere.
Once you put up enough antennas and laid enough cable the Ionosphere is a good free transmitter relay communication natural device.
Be it radio or audio are bounced of the ionosphere and back transmitted using dishes and repeater antennas,
they can also travel across the ground or water quite OK and underground cables.
Ever heard of cable net work or sky TV
Ground based antennas and sea cables.
Fiber optics are useful for laying cables over huge distances this is how the internet works.
Cell Phones
Your cell phones connect to a base stations these base stations are connect to ground cables the base station sends your signal by cables to the nearest base station to the person you are calling.
Basically all's sky TV has done is give us tweaked sky dish to charge you extortionist prices for their sky package deals.
Actually this all remind me of Tartaria where they would receive free electricity form the many antennas they had on their elaborate buildings.
You should google it 'Tartaria' Some interesting stuff.

Fomenko says we do not know anything before about 1100 AC. I think I recall that he suggests that at 1100 they knew that they were climbing back from a catastrophe. Perhaps Noah's flood. So here is where Tartaria comes into play.

No this doesn’t work. For starters all satellite dishes across the uk & Ireland point to the same area of sky where the Astra 28.2 satellite system is situated (for uk channels). My satellite dish is aligned towards the same area of sky as a dish in London or Edinburgh. If it was done with repeater aerials and dishes, they would all be pointing in different directions.
If it was to do with the ionosphere, it would be unstable. As any ham radio operator could tell you, atmospheric conditions can drastically affect radio signals.
Satellites on the other hand are not so affected by the weather. The signal does not rely on the ionosphere to extend the range of the signals. The signals are coming directly from the satellite. It is like having an aerial thousands of miles high, free of any obstructions.
I’m afraid these flat earthers are relying on people’s ignorance of technology and atmospheric conditions. And you are consistently falling for their nonsense.

Oh and by the way, the Astra 28.2 satellite system has absolutely nothing to do with NASA. It is a European based system. NASA had no hand in its development, launchings or ownership.

I’d love it you could grasp the concepts I’m telling you about. Because if you could only understand and grapple with the problems of flat earth explanations, you would easily see how they make no sense.
They are throwing around technical terms to obfuscate their own ignorance or deception. And it makes them sound knowledgeable when they are not.

Well the ones claiming that satellite tv signals come from relay aerial masts, dishes, balloons and use the ionosphere most certainly are either not knowledgeable or are deliberately being deceptive.
The reason why you think they are knowledgeable and are being honest is because you don’t have the necessary knowledge yourself to be able to see that their explanations are nonsense.
I don’t know why you post any of them. The people here answering your claims are no fools. Some have engineering backgrounds and personal knowledge which easily debunks flat earth claims.
And I think it’s fair to say all of us study Scripture with enthusiasm, seeking all that God has to tell us through His Word.
That study gives us the knowledge and understanding to be able to say that God does not tell us the shape of the earth in His Word, directly or indirectly.
You are relying on bad teachers who cherry pick verses and quote them out of context to suit their own aims.
