CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Call me old-fashioned but if people think you’re so borderline in your conduct that you have to go back and clarify that a comment you made about good people doesn’t include white supremacists, you’ve got some sincere issues.

You didn’t notice that the person I was responding to said there were good people on both sides and that included racists that he knew that were good people too? Or you just couldn’t pass up an opportunity to say something negative about Trump?

Yeah we could, but you'd still he wrong. By the way, whats your definition of many? How many is "many". What percentage of right wingers are authoritarian racists? I think that might help determine if "many" actually are?
I mean I might be persuaded to agree if you can provide some more information on what "many" is. Especially if you can correlate that with few. Like whats the difference between many and few that you are using to make such an assertion.

Interesting. You claim that 5% is many. Yet have no actual numbers. We actually have numbers for the BLM numbers Yet were told consistently how there weren't many riots. Yet it was more than 5% which you claim is many.
The truth is, you dont have any idea how many right wingers are authoritarian racists. And we don't know how many leftists are radical socialist communists. So it appears that you don't really have a leg to stand on in regard to that.
Now we could go to X, BlueSky, You tube etc and start having a battle of who has more radicals posting
Authoritarian racist things vs radical leftist communist socialist things but thats not very helpful.
I guess we should just leave it at what we can see day to day. And right now, radical leftists are leading due to the violence and rhetoric.
Maybe some day that will change.

You are arguing nonsense, you simply want to invent a boogeyman to scare yourself, then blame everybody else for your fear. You don’t like BLM, leftists, socialists, communists, so you invent transgressions or round up a few issues to be indicative of a whole or a pattern, sprinkle in your bias against certain groups, become afraid, and then declare your fantasy a real-life problem.
The obvious solution would be to stop scaring yourself by indulging in the propaganda designed to make you fearful in order to have you act against your best interests and examine the facts as they are, not dig your heels in deeper and sob louder.

BLM is an organization which who they are. There are many groups, like the Proud Boys that have Fascist ideologies but there are no exact number on how many groups and their membership.
The FBI knows how many riots and how many peaceful protests there were.

Depends on how one looks at that. The FBI shows that most violence is caused by the right wing radicals. One act of violence is too many, regardless of who does it.
Hopefully, and maybe one day stop blowing these events out of proportion and look at things with rational eyes..
