I actually couldnt stand him from way back before he entered politics, back when he was a Dem. Its not political. He's always been a shouty bully - and and I dont like that.

You're not right. You gave your figures in today's terms: 'That's an equivalent of $400 million in TODAY'S dollars.' Your emphasis. So you compare it to what he has today. Even if it was $100m when he started then he's increased by 70x. I still beat him. And I haven't had any companies go bust and I paid all my taxes and haven't been charged and convicted for cheating on my income.

Did someone say he's a bad politician? He is, as you said, by definition a good politician. But as the leader of your country? He's appalling. And likewise his character.
People lose money on all kinds of endeavors. The important thing is to keep trying. Most successful people have failed several times in their lives.
The important thing to remember is that a businessman who fails in a dozen separate business ventures is showing that he is a very bad business man.

It's not possible to excuse the things he's said and done. I'd find it exceptionally difficult to do so even if he genuinely repented for his faults. I would try. But you and I both know that he's psychologically incapable of doing that.
