CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I guess if the only input I had was the posts on this forum and Christiane Amanpour I could believe that also from 7,000 miles away - but I have the privilege of living in the US and being one of the millions applauding our President.

The last time I checked, the Russians and Ukranians were still shooting at each other. And Israel resumed bombing in Gaza. Is that what you call peace?
The border is still open for commerce. And illega immigrants are still being detained. The border is not "closed."
Peace? Unleashing thugs with badges to terrorize neighborhoods is your version of peace?
Making healt insurance unaffordable is a victory? Say, what is your solution? Do you have more than "concepts of a plan" to offer?

ILLEGAL border crossing have dropped 96% over the Biden fiasco - and who in their right mind would want to stop commerce? Talk about grasping at straws...
As far as I know, only the violent criminals and those who support their violence call law enforcement thugs. I could be wrong, but those thugs are saving innocent people lives and livelihoods.
Obama and his sycophants said it did - and they still do - throwing hundreds of millions of dollars into a system that threw millions of people off their health insurance and giving subsidies to people making millions of dollars a year, while pouring billions of our dollars into the Insurance and pharmaceuticals industry.
I don't and neither do you.
And Chuck Schumer exposed his support for big Pharma when he walked off the Senate floor in a huff when questioned.

"A dividend of at least $2000 a person (not including high income people!) will be paid to everyone."
....his tariff policy is so unpopular that now he's promising to buy us off? Say, what happened to the tariff revenuing reducing the debt?

It certainly wouldn't be a record. Obama was criticized, by Republicans, for meeting with so many world leaders after being elected in 2008, as he worked to catch up relations after the Bush years.
