  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi everyone, this post is intended for those who God is calling back.

The Son of God, the Son of Man (Psalm 80), Jesus Christ is God's Son and he is with us, seek him to find him. He is also known as the Son of Elias that resides in Heaven with God the Father, the Holy Spirit and his hosts of angels and Saints.

His word is found in the New Testament and he is the only bridge to God the Father that leads to eternal life to be saved from spiritual death at the end of time.

Through his precious Son's blood we are made to be fit alone through him for the forgiveness and remission of our sins. His Eucharist again joins us to his Body as members of Christ which he is the Head of that Body (Ephesians 1:22-23).

God the Father awaits to meet you to. God’s arms always extends to you. He wants us all to be grafted back onto his Olive tree which he loves with a passion (Romans 11) "Israel,

God the Father awaits to meet you to. God’s arms always extends to you. He wants us all to be grafted back onto his Olive tree which he loves with a passion (Romans 11) "Israel, and so all Israel shall be saved as it is written" those who are not joined yet who are not Christian he wants you and you need to be grafted in back onto the Olive tree to be saved." those who are not joined yet who are not Christian he wants you and you need to be grafted in back onto the Olive tree to be saved.

God has many faces as (Psalm 18) tell us, he has the capacity to show divine love and mercy to those who give him their love and who are obedient towards him as Jeremiah showed us (Jeremiah 31:31). God can be compassionate, but shrewd when he wants to be to the enemy He is GOD, the same GOD as always.

We are all the same before God as (Galatians 3:28) tells us and he wants us all to be grafted back onto his Olive tree from all nations including where he was most passionate and stood as their God of the Israelites-why not come back to the Olive tree...you are being gently called in the wind, his spirit will reach you. I know God will do what he said he will do he will come through and he will establish his people in the New Jerusalem which people of Christ will be invited to join him and where peace and love will abound with sweet Solomon songs.

The unbeliving Jews will be grafted back in when they meet and accept the Son of Man Yeshua, Jesus Christ who is our Saviour as God's Son and they will. The Holy Spirit and more signs of Christ will instigate leading them back and people will be being baptised in the street and which were empty will soon be filled and God’s spirit will be poured out on the earth as the Prophet Joel said (Joel 2:28) till the Perfect One comes again which is only Jesus Christ (Hebrews 12) who has the keys to Heaven and who is God's only Beloved Son (Matthew 3:17).

The Jews were God's chosen people.
The Christian Gentiles are now grafted into God;s Olive tree.
The Jews will be grafted back in, when they come back to God, which they will.

It is God who sends us water from his chambers which gives us water to drink and water that provides food for the grass (Psalm 104). This is the same God which gave us Manna from Heaven.

Peace to you till that day.

Keep working in the field till he comes-"Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left."
" (Matthew 24:20).

Amen ... Your Christology is carefully worded and uncommon but I agree to that.

Personally I would refrain from calling Jews 'Gentiles' now .. I don't think there is NT support for that description. And you're overlooking the many Messianic Jews, who are larger in numbers than at any time before in history AFAIK.

Be blessed .. !

Thank you for your thoughts, it was a sonnet a call back to God's people to. I got that line about the Gentile's from Romans 11. I will paste more of it here, what capacity do you think it is written as the scripture is about calling people back to God's Olive tree. I have liked that one for decades. I have changed it though and thank you for pointing it out.

Romans 11- which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree? For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

Great; Romans 11 (and the rest of Romans also actually) only makes sense if we understand 'Israel' and 'Jews' to actually refer to the physical Israel and the Jews living there or abroad. Spiritualising the term 'Israel' and basically redefining as referring to the whole church causes nonsensical readings in both NT and TNK/OT. But has happened since at least the 4th century AD in the history of the Church - only in the last 100 years or so do we see a change in that perspective.

Of course I'm aware there are multiple ways of 'reading'/interpreting Romans 11, but for me the most natural one is that Gentile believers are grafted into the tree of God's people - but Israel as a nation/people still do exist (Paul says 'theirs are the covenants' ..) - they're temporarily blinded as Paul says; but eventually all of Israel will come to the truth about their Messiah. Israel is not some kind of failed and abandoned experiment by God. The TNK/OT successively speaks of a remnant .. God's plan continues. The name of Yeshua as God's Messiah is spread online throughout Israel these days - that's a massive development.

Modern and orthodox Judaism now is quite different from Judaism as it existed in the days of Yeshua on earth. Talmud and many, many traditions have emerged later. I have learned a lot from looking at the Bible and my faith from a Jewish perspective - basically trying to understand the Gospel, Yeshua's words and Paul through the lens of those 1st century Jewish believers. At the same time Judaism in the 21st century reminds me also of the Roman Catholic or Orthodox churches - lots of traditions where the tradition itself seems to have become a purpose in itself.

Man-made tradition can be useful (~ best practices solidified in time) but should not be a law in itself.

My journey of discovery is still ongoing - yet my faith/leaning on God is not dependent on knowing it all with a precision of three decimals digits.

Be blessed !

It is not "their" olive tree, it is God's olive tree, which is his people through faith in the promise (Ge 15:5-6, Seed, Jesus Christ, Gal 3:16).

True, but the far majority of believers in God among those Israelites had no clear cut concept of a Messiah - let alone knowledge of Yeshua as that Messiah. God would rescue them somehow. As time progressed the expectation became stronger and it was a tangible thing by the time Yeshua was born.

Faith in the promise (Ge 15:5-6, Seed, Jesus Christ, Gal 3:16) was reckoned by God as salvific.

Read Moses' speeches in Deuteronomy - that's the outline of what was considered Life or Death for the believer in TNK/OT times. You should not read the TNK/OT through the lens of the NT, it's the other way around. The average God-fearing Israelite didn't know about Yeshua as the Messiah yet - faith in Him had not been defined yet as the key criterion for Life in Deuteronomy (or the Torah in general).

What are your thoughts on the other tribes?
Well for me in my life I go by (Galatians 3:28) that we are all equal before God, there is no Jew or Greek. God appears passionate about though about trying to call the Israelites which I will support him with, some may wonder why given history how they left him but that is what it looks like in the Bible. I love the lion of Judah really as that represents Jesus and David line roots as well. I find geography interesting, especially how the world was shaped and where my parents descend from. I cannot claim to be an expert on all the other tribes. My parents come from a country with tribes and I am not into them.
I have read that some say that Jesus will not return until more take up the Cross which I find interesting to.

I like Romans 11 and the image of the Olive tree. I have changed it to God's Olive as someone wrote. Some people may want to claim it for themselves though and their own portion.

It was defined in the same way much was defined in the OT, through types and shadows, where
faith in the promise (Ge 15:5-6, Seed, Jesus Christ, Gal 3:16) was reckoned by God as salvific.

Augustine got it right. . ."The OT is the NT concealed, the NT is the OT revealed."

We're one in Christ and equal before God (heart-to-God), but that doesn't mean there are not still different roles/responsibilities in this life. In Christ master and slave are one, but Paul still exhorts slaves to obey their earthly master, and masters to treat their slaves well and remember they also have a heavenly master. Man/woman are one in Christ but Paul and Peter still emphasise their asymmetric roles towards one another in marriage and in the Church. Being one in Christ does not mean we all have the same station or identical (earthly) obligations in life.

Israel is not an abandoned project by God.

Be blessed!
