Since the results of Tuesday’s election came in, school placement consultant Christopher Rim told The Post he’s had no less than 23 clients reach out to him. They’re looking to relocate — and they want his help getting their kids into elite private high schools and middle schools in other states.

These don't sound like very dependable people I'd want living in my neighborhood. People who can just pack up and bounce when the going gets tough already aren't a part of the community.

Mamdani needs the tax revenues from rich people to stay to pay for his proposed policies. I'm not sure why you don't understand that.

Why is that? It’s weird to think New York, the city with the biggest concentration of very wealthy people in the world, is suddenly going to be abandoned by the wealthy because of a modest increase in their cost to live in what is already one of the most expensive cities in the world.
They’re already choosing to live in one of the most expensive cities in the world.

Some will move out. Sure. I don’t think it’ll be nearly enough to dramatically change the makeup of the city. There’s just that many people who want to live there and can afford to.

It seems strange but also on brand to me, that certain people don't believe that there ARE some rich people who don't mind contributing to their communities. They see folks like Mr Trillion Dollar Pants and see how little he helps anyone and they protect him from adminishment 'because he can do what he wants with his money'.

Can you guys at least make up your minds and pick if it’s communism or Islamism he’s supposed to be instituting when he gets into office? It’s hard to tell which one you guys are more irrationally scared of happening in a city, I’m pretty sure the right had been railing against for years now well before Mamdani came onto the scene.

To me Mandami aligns with God's will. In the OT, God would let nations rise up to defeat Israel because he wanted to teach them a lesson. So here is Mandami, being used as a thorn in the side of unbridled capitalism and the love of money in the epicenter of the financial world. I will even suggest that trying to limit funding or aid to NYC is going to backfire. Also, if Mandami fails, the blame will go to Trump anyway. The good news is that politicians better start understanding the needs of everyday America, you know like fixing social security, insuring health care at reasonable rates, reducing inflation and balancing the budget.

Maybe driving off the rich is a feature, not a bug. Seems counterintuitive.

If your life revolves around equality, then how does one even explain the rich?

There should be no rich. There can be only one explanation: they cheated. So the rich are the bad guys causing trouble. So why not drive them off?

But you need their money. Economic equality is more important, and so is payback for their crimes.
