Both are bad but one is much more likely and more widely supported than the other, even from our national leaders. I’m not really losing sleep about either of them though. Either one would be severely restricted by the First Amendment and plainly unconstitutional.

It would of course manifest as anyone calling Mamdani a communist, or a socialist for that matter, or even hinting at it. Anything that suggested he wasn’t as American as apple pie in his political stance. It would be almost as bad as deadnaming the person.
