  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Tucker Carlson’s interview with far-right antisemite Nick Fuentes divides conservatives over support for Israel

The Movement: Mike Pence sounds off on Tucker Carlson, Heritage, Steve Bannon, RFK

Pence on Monday announced a book coming next year called “What Conservatives Believe: Rediscovering the Conservative Conscience.” A release bills the book as the 21st-Century version of Barry Goldwater’s foundational “Conscience of a Conservative.”

Republicans, he said, are “embracing more isolationist views, particularly with regard to Russia’s unprovoked and brutal invasion in Ukraine.”

“There are voices that we’ve seen just in recent days, questioning, in no uncertain terms, American’s support for Israel,” Pence said. “We’ve seen our party walking away from a commitment to free market economics, embracing broad based tariffs — which are taxes — against friend and foe alike. We’ve seen an administration embracing the state ownership of business. We’ve seen members of Congress promoting price controls, and then going all the way back to the Republican platform in 2024 — the marginalizing of the right to life, the appointment of a pro-abortion secretary of [Health and Human Services] and an effort in the party to simply relegate the question of abortion to be a state-only issue.”

“But I particularly have been frustrated to see [Tucker Carlson's] consistent opposition to U.S. support for Israel. When Tucker Carlson and Steve Bannon came out against the use of military force to take down the Iranian nuclear program, I actually think they lost some footing with the president and with the movement, because President Trump took the bold and courageous step of using military forces to strike the Iranian nuclear capability.”

“When Heritage came out in favor of the appointment of a pro-abortion Secretary of HHS” — referring to Health and Human Service Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. — “it just struck me that the conservative movement would do well with a reminder of what we believe.”

Ben Shapiro Devotes Entire Show to Scorching Takedown of ‘Coward’ Tucker Carlson and ‘Twisted’ Nick Fuentes

“Hey folks, I want to do something different on today’s show. We’re going to cover one topic in depth. That topic is, I think, the most important thing happening in the country. It was a hot topic last week, but I wanted to take some time to really gather my thoughts and speak on it in coherent fashion, wholistic fashion. That topic is the fragmentation of the political right,” began Shapiro. “That fragmentation is being caused purposefully by a splinter faction of people led by a young man named Nick Fuentes. They call themselves the Groypers. They are white supremacists. They hate women, Jews, Hindus, many types of Christians, brown people of a wide variety of backgrounds, Blacks, America’s foreign policy, and America’s constitution. They admire Hitler and Stalin. And that splinter faction is now being facilitated and normalized within the mainstream Republican Party. The main agent in that normalization is Tucker Carlson, who is an intellectual coward, a dishonest interlocutor, and a terrible friend. And Tucker Carlson last week was aided, abetted, celebrated for normalizing Nazism within the Republican Party by the mainstay organization of the traditional right, the Heritage Foundation.”

Is this a direct quote by Shapiro?

Because I've heard him get accused of hating each of the groups that are bolded.

Does he actually have an issue with the bulk of what Tucker's said in various interviews pertaining to "culture problems" in certain communities, or is he only upset because the most recent one touched on his own "in-group"?

My problem with Carlson and Fuentes is that they are bad actors, and because I am a conservative it is frustrating to see bad actors who are also conservatives. And I do not believe that Tucker is interested in free speech. He platformed Fuentes to pay obeisance to the significant portion of his base that sympathizes with Fuentes. If Tucker was some sort of free speech promoter who hosts views from every angle and party then it would be different. If Tucker favored free speech then his interviews would be interviews that explored a person's ideas in their totality and in fairness, regardless of where they come from. That's not Tucker. Not by a long shot. One can very easily object to the way that Tucker cozies up to characters like Putin, Tate, or Fuentes without objecting to anyone's right to free speech.

We should not confuse Fuentes call outs of "zionism" as merely anti-Israel. He is openly expresses his hatred of all Jews and love of Hitler and Nazis and self-identifies as a white nationalist.
Yep. Weird to see folk trying to shuffle this under the rug.

A portion of the far-left is rabidly Anti-Zionist, and obviously so is Nick Fuentes, but they're scrambling to find rationales to justify it in a way where they can claim "our reasons are very different", when they really aren't.

...

The rationales between "why the progressive left hates Israel" and "why Nick Fuentes hates Israel" aren't as far apart as they'd like to think.
They are far apart. The Left's hate is emotional, irrational and ignorant, and I mean by the dictionary definition of "ignorant". They don't know what they're talking about, or if they do, they're dishonest about. I could go into details about that.

I'm no Nick expert but from what I've heard from him and other conservatives is they don't hate Israel, they just don't care about Israel. They don't like how much our taxpayers pay them, and they don't care for Israel's meddling in our politics. I have some empathy with that. The only basis I've ever heard for supporting Israel so strongly is, "it's the only democracy in the Middle East". But so what? Has them being a democracy ever affected anything positively over there? The U.S. tried implementing democracy in Iraq. Didn't work.

I'll make this simple for you: Nick Fuentes hates Jews. Period. He does not shy from that position.

Do you have a link to support that? I do recall when he was playing GTA in New York and by coincidence a Jewish NPC appeared as a pedestrian and Nick kept trying to run him over as a joke, all while laughing about it. Dark humor I suppose. But if he does have hate that's between him and God.

Not that I can post here. Just do a video search on fuentes + jews and you'll get the evidence you need. (Or don't and just trust me. You don't really want to watch his rants. [Or maybe you should, just to see how vile he is.])

Other than his speech inside restricted grounds at the Capitol on Jan 6th, 2021, everything I have seen from Fuentes is from his show on his set. There is plenty of vile material that illustrates the point. No need to infer from actions in video games.

Fortunately many Republicans on X are slamming and calling out Tucker for platforming this weasel. They include Ted Cruz, Mark Levin, Dinesh D'Souza, and many more. And the President of Heritage Foundation who defended Tucker for giving him a soft ball interview has resigned. So there's hope there.

Plus he thinks women should not have the vote, and hates Blacks and wants an Aryan country. Links later.

That's good. The GOPers aren't going to take my word on Tucker/Fuentes.
They include Ted Cruz, Mark Levin, Dinesh D'Souza, and many more.
A Cuban Canadian, a Jewish American, and an Indian American. It's nice that they react, but it does illustrate the moral courage of conservative "leaders" seem largely limited to the outrages that directly affect them. (Or in this case, they know Fuentes says vile things that directly apply to them.)
And the President of Heritage Foundation who defended Tucker for giving him a soft ball interview has resigned. So there's hope there.
Good. I was not aware of that.

Uh-huh. I thought so.

You could check out the "right wing watch" site.

You could search for fuentes and antisemitism and get a lot of links (its his main thing, being a Hitler fan, as he is).

One non-video link that search turns up is:

There are many more if you care to look.
