• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

30th OT

Rv 7:2-4, 9-14

John says: " I had a vision of a great multitude, which no one could count, from every nation, race, people, and tongue."

... in God. The universe is immense; but the places in God are infinite.

Mt 5:1-12a

It is written: "Jesus began to teach them, saying."

As soon as we listen to the Trinity, to the Holy Spirit, in our hearts, the intelligence of Love unlocks, heals, purifies, and then it is easier to hear the teaching that God has for us.

31st OT

Ws 3:1-6.9

"The souls of the righteous are in the hand of God."

All souls are in God's hand. God, who creates souls, cannot destroy souls.

God, who gives life, cannot destroy life.

We are in God.

1 Co 15:51-57

"Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

... the victory of life... which continues...

John 6:37-40

Jesus said to them, "Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and I will not reject anyone who comes to me."

Let us think about this. God has given life to every person. God is in every person, since it is impossible to give life without being there himself.

Let us observe this. "Jesus says to them," in the plural form, and not just to one person in particular.

God is present with humanity throughout its existence, He is present with us now, and He will still be there when we enter the gates of His kingdom.

It is better to welcome God now, and he welcomes us. We then live more freely, in His peace and joy.

31st OT

Rm 11:29-36

"God delivered all to disobedience."

Some humans shut themselves up, often refusing to be with God. But God loves and frees every person who want to be freed.

Lk 14:12-14

Jesus says: "Do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or your wealthy neighbors, rather (…) invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind."

Jesus speaks to us of the realities of heaven. He does not speak of earthly reality.

What does he mean? What he means is in these three words: "invite the poor."

There are those who are poor in society, in school, in shelter, in clothing, in anxiety. There are millions of differences between each earthly poor.

Everyone is family. The greatest poverty of our time is that the majority of people do not know that they are Loved by God. Let us tell them gently. Those who experience great poverty can find balance with God's Love.

31st OT

Rom 12:5-16b

"We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us."

God's grace contains all gifts, but we develop only a few of them.

Let us receive all the graces and gifts of God within us. Let us welcome them and live them.

Luke 14:15-24

"Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in here the poor and the crippled, the blind and the lame."

Life in God is for everyone. The poorest of humanity do not know that God loves them. Let us find simple ways to help them discover God's joy within them.

31st OT

Rm 13:8-10

"The one who loves another has fulfilled the law."

For this, let us allow God to Love us first.

Lk 14:25-33

Jesus says, "Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple."

Jesus does not say to burden ourselves. He simply says to move forward as we are.

If we want to unite with God, let us let go of what is useless.

Let us remember that God's burden is light. Let us entrust our burdens to Him and remain in peace.

31st OT

Rm 14:7-12

"We are the Lord’s."

The life within us is God with us.

Lk 15:1-10

The Pharisees and scribes complained about Jesus: "This man welcomes sinners and eats with them!"

God offers a meal to everyone. He invites everyone to his table.

Anyone who judges others is not in a perfect relationship with God.
