  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Based on my research, the location of the Holy Grail was likely already known to those who started the Holy Crusades in 1095 AD. But why would they send people looking to secure the Grail when they knew it was already secure in León?

Hail, and well met. My name is Philip Perras, and I believe that I have found the Holy Grail.

Not hidden in some far-off ruin, but quietly preserved in the Basilica of San Isidoro, enshrined by Princess Doña Urraca of León. This chalice—composed of an ancient onyx cup and dish—matches the historical path and timing needed to trace it back to the Last Supper. But more importantly, its symbolism reveals something far greater than just a relic.

The true Grail, I believe, is not simply a cup. It’s a message about how to live. Through Jesus’s life, through King Ferdinand’s rule, and through Urraca’s artistic and personal choices, one theme rings clear: the pursuit of balance, humility, and virtue. What Christian theology calls wisdom, what philosophers call the Golden Mean.

I’ve compiled my research—historical, symbolic, and spiritual—into a short essay. It’s now published and available for free or donation on Leanpub:

If you’ve ever felt that the Grail was more than a myth, more than a relic... if you believe it could be a path, a message, and a way to live—then I invite you to read.

Glory to God in wisdom and in mystery.
