I found a very fascinating that that this priest on YouTube said about souls in purgatory, and he said something that had been crossing MY mind for AGES.
Granted, priests are not always going to say the correct things but when he said this, I was floored. He said that souls in purgatory can/may be released when the hurt/problems that they may have caused the next generation (through sin) are resolved, and when they see that the "cycle has been broken."
(this could mean, though, that if the problems are not resolved or the cycle is not broken, that they stay where they're at. he was also talking about praying for them, but it was MORE than that)
I'm not saying everyone has to agree but I have felt this even before I heard this priest say this.
(I don't want to give a link because his political talking points can be contentious)
