CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Because this was a targeted mission. You know thing you have been demanding. Going after criminals. It precisely was NOT a whole town but a single building taken over by a foreign terrorist criminal gang. You should be grateful they are doing what you want.

Gov. Pritzker Orders State Agencies to Probe Treatment of Kids Detained by Feds During South Shore Raid
Pritzker, who is running for a third term as governor and considering a run for president in 2028, said he was “appalled by the reports of excessive use of force against children as well as the many innocent bystanders who were punished simply for residing in that building.”Without providing evidence, federal officials said 300 agents raided the South Shore apartment building to arrest members of the Tren de Aragua criminal organization, which originated in Venezuela. Federal officials said 37 people were arrested, but several days after the raid, they have not been identified or charged with a crime.
The apartment building had become a home for dozens of migrants who made their way to Chicago from the southern border on buses paid for by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott in an attempt to bolster President Donald Trump’s bid for reelection.

I must say it has become very personal for me.You see, I have brown grandchildren, the offspring of my very Anglo Caucasian son and his lovely citizen wife of Mexican heritage. They are only 5 & 3 and cute and smart as a button. The thought that my grandkids are growing up in an America where they may be stopped at any time with "papers please," pulled over while driving brown, or detained until they prove they have a right to be here scares me for them. And, it angers me, too. It is not the kind of country we are supposed to be. I recently talked to their great aunt who works for a 3-letter Federal agency. She is afraid to take her trash bin to the curb without ensuring she has her .gov ID around her neck. It is not the kind of country we are supposed to be.
